Mental Plagiarism? Or Prophetic Reality? :: By Dave Hubley
(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)
Let me first define my term “mental plagiarism” by employing an analogy that we can all easily understand.
When reports of a tropical depression begin on weather-focused websites, interest is mostly limited to “weather watchers.”
If the depression shows signs of growing into a hurricane, reporting grows rapidly.
If it becomes clear that this hurricane will, in fact, grow into a significant event, suddenly, every news station, newspaper, and news website will take up the reporting of it at the same time. Interest in the event and reporting of it grow exponentially.
The various media sources are not plagiarizing each other; they are simply reporting on the same preeminent event at the same time due to its obvious significance.
They are mentally focused on the same topic but independently reporting on it.
It is at the forefront of current realities.
Now let’s apply this concept to the current growing wave of articles, reports, and speculation relative to the brewing perfect storm of prophetic events foretold in the Word of God that have already been fulfilled (precisely), from the beginning of the Book of Genesis (3:15), to the end-time events yet to unfold recorded in the Book of Revelation, which will also be fulfilled precisely.
Many prophecy writers and prophecy-minded pastors and preachers have been reporting on the progress and implications of prophecy for many years.
There are currently numerous websites that are primarily devoted to prophecy and its relation to current worldwide events, and they seem to be growing in number at this time.
(ex: Rapture Ready, Olive Tree Ministries, and Lamb and Lion Ministries are just a few)
There has been an explosion of articles by a growing group of independent authors related to prophecy relatively recently. There is a clear reason why this occurring now.
Many, like myself, have been gifted by God with a strong desire to understand His Word in its entirety. Particularly, we have been blessed to desire knowledge and understanding of His prophecies. As a result of this gift, we study them diligently (in my case, for 30 years).
In the last 22 months, I have felt an urgent need to write of them.
God blessed me to experience Rapture Ready for many of those learning years, and they have been kind enough to let me participate in this wonderful ministry.
I have noticed many other new (to me) names appearing as contributors as well.
So, what is the reason for this explosion of prophetic authorship and interest?
In similar fashion to naturally occurring weather events, but in Biblical terms, there are Bible prophecies that are converging exponentially into a perfect storm that is soon to result in the preeminent event that will overshadow all other events in human history.
One recent example of this convergence is the sudden and brutal attack by Hamas (from the Gaza Strip) this last weekend and its rapid expansion into a regional war, as Hezbollah and no doubt others will join in. As this current conflict widens, could it end up being the fulfillment of the war prophesied in Psalm 83?
It is certainly possible. Patience and sober discernment must be employed here.
Like the reporters of a significant weather event, there is no plagiarism on the part of prophecy writers; there is just an urgency to report the growing signs that are leading up to the final perfect storm that has been promised by God Almighty Himself in His inerrant Word: – the Rapture of the True, Christ- worshipping Church (Revelation 4:1), followed by the completion of the balance of the other long-promised prophecies.
A caution: I must warn the reader that extreme caution must be exercised in reading and believing any man-sourced reporting on any Bible-related topic, particularly prophecy. That is an area where a great deal of liberty is sometimes taken in interpretation and exposition. Much of it is based on what some individuals want to force it to mean as opposed to what God’s Word truly intends.
The plumb line of Truth is found in Scripture and only in Scripture.
At the same time, there are many rock-solid, Christ-honoring, Biblically sound ministries, websites, weblogs, and extra-biblical books that can help in understanding the intent of God in revealing Himself, His Glory, His Son, Jesus Christ, and His Nature to those who truly seek Him and the Truth of His Word. (Ex: Harbingers Daily, World Net Daily)
Here, I will make a point in order to help anyone who might read this and who has not received Jesus Christ and made Him Lord and the sole source of their Salvation.
Without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, it is not possible to understand the Word of God as the Scriptures intend it to be understood.
The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14).
Enablement to discern and understand the Word of God is a gift of God when any person will receive Jesus Christ as the One and Only sacrifice for her/his sin.
“…the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you [followers of Christ] know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:17). [added for clarity by me]
Now to the crux of this article. (God really does possess “all the answers.”)
The end times events promised by Jesus in the Gospel accounts in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 are compared to birth pains. As time progresses, birth pains become more frequent and intense. Some translations refer to this as the “beginnings of sorrows.” Indeed, it is the rapidly accelerating fulfillment of long-prophesied events.
It is this sudden convergence of Biblical realities by the only possible source of the revelation of future events that is driving this current proliferation of authorship.
“Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure” (Isaiah 46:9-10). Emphasis added by me.
The Word of God makes it clear that anyone who seeks Him will find Him. And in Him, through Jesus Christ and Him alone, salvation and eternal life can be realized.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’” (John 14:6).
“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13)
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
It is up to you to seek and to open. Eternal life is waiting. Why are you?
The special message I promised you:
For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.
You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.
It requires that you come before God on His terms.
And, what are His terms according to His Word?
- Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
- Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
- That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
- To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
- Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross.
- To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.
God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.
- No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
- No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
- Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.
If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.
“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).
There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.
The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
