Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is at war after Hamas launched a devastating surprise attack on the country on Saturday, and vowed to exact an ‘unprecedented price’ from the terror group.

NTEB has been covering events in Israel for 14 years now, and this is the first that I can recall in all that time that Israel was caught by complete and total surprise by their arch-enemy Hamas. When I say surprise, I am talking that the Jews has absolutely zero idea that this was about to unfold, the IDF had no clue of any kind this was coming. That is an even bigger story than the attack itself. That just doesn’t ever happen, but it happened today.

“For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.” Joshua 11:20 (KJB)

The surprise attack was devastating. As of this moment, at least 22 Israelis lie dead, IDF soldiers have been captured, and at least 500 lay wounded by the thousands of rockets fired at the south. Look at the photo at the top of this article, that’s an IDF tank captured by Hamas with Palestinians rejoicing over it as it burns. As I said, I cannot ever recall a time where this has happened, and I suspect that something larger is afoot. Remember last month when US president Joe Biden announced he was unfreezing $6 billion in frozen funds to give to Iran? Well, Iran funds Hamas and now Hamas has scored an unprecedented blow against the Jews. Did the United States cause this? I am telling you, there is much more to this attack on Israel today than meets the eye, and I pray the Lord will reveal it to us as events continue to unfold. TO THE FIGHT!!!

‘We are at war,’ Netanyahu says, after Hamas launches devastating surprise attack

FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: “Citizens of Israel, we are at war. Not an operation, not a round of fighting, at war! This morning Hamas initiated a murderous surprise attack against the state of Israel and its citizens,” Netanyahu said in his filmed statement in Hebrew.

The statement, which appears to have been filmed at the Israel Defense Forces headquarters in Tel Aviv was, posted at around 11 a.m., several hours into the fighting that erupted after Hamas fired thousands of rockets into Israel and gunmen crossed the border with the Gaza Strip and invaded multiple Israeli towns.

Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched massive rocket barrages at southern and central Israel on Saturday morning, combined with an assault by dozens of gunmen who infiltrated the border town of Sderot and other communities, clashing with Israel Defense Force troops. At least 22 people were killed and some 545 wounded, according to medical officials.

“We have been in this since the early morning hours. I have convened the heads of the defense establishment. I’ve given directives to clear the affected urban areas of the terrorists who penetrated them,” Netanyahu said. “This is happening right now.”

“In parallel, I am initiating an extensive mobilization of the reserves to fight back on a scale and intensity that the enemy has so far not experienced. The enemy will pay an unprecedented price,” Netanyahu said.

“I urge the public to follow strictly the directives of the military, the Home Front Command. We are at war and will win,” Netanyahu said. READ MORE

The prime minister of Israel has declared the country is at “war” after Hamas launched an unprecedented surprise multi-front attack on Saturday morning. The centre and south of Israel have been under sustained rocket fire for more than three and a half hours according to Israeli media. Earlier armed gunmen reportedly infiltrated Israeli communities after crossing the border fence. Benjamin Netanyahu released a video address responding to the attack in which he said: Citizens of Israel, we are at war. Not an operation, not an escalation — at war.” Thousands of reservists are being called up. The Israeli Defence Forces has declared a “state of readiness for war” and vowed that “Israel will win” after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel this morning.
