In U.S. news today, the Texas town of Wolfforth has recently become the 85th city nationwide to declare itself a “sanctuary for the unborn,” passing an ordinance unanimously. Globally, President Trump’s Gaza peace plan is facing significant challenges as Hamas refuses to disarm, calling into question the future of the peace process. Europe is also looking ahead to winter, making strides in reducing its reliance on Russian energy, but still navigating gas needs and the differing stances of member states. Meanwhile, a global movement of Generation Z-led protests continues to challenge governments worldwide, from Nepal to Peru, organizing with modern tools like gaming platforms and using unique, shared symbols.

In prophecy news, Israel is currently experiencing a pre-Messiah heat wave, shattering 83-year temperature records with conditions running 10°C above seasonal averages across the country. Shifting to U.S. events from a prophetic perspective, President Trump recently accused several Democratic lawmakers of “seditious behavior” for a video message directed at military members. Additionally, the USDA is moving to require Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients to reapply for benefits in an effort to combat fraud and abuse.

Finally, in Jewish history, looking back to November 25th, we note significant events such as Archbishop James Ussher’s chronology placing the start of the Great Deluge in 2348 BCE. Also, in 407 BCE, Yedanaiah petitioned the governor of Yehud to rebuild the Jewish Temple at Elephantine. More recently, the 1120 sinking of the White Ship, which tragically drowned William Adelin, the son of Henry I of England, led to civil war and had notable implications for Jewish communities, with both claimants to the throne, King Stephen and Empress Matilda, raising funds from Jewish subjects during their struggle for power.
