Globally, China is in the process of finalizing its critical five-year economic plan, a decision that carries significant implications for the world’s second-largest economy. Meanwhile, long-standing tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban have erupted into conflict, now reportedly eased by a ceasefire, with Pakistan urging the Taliban to curb militant groups operating from Afghanistan.

Turning to prophecy news, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has referred former CIA director John Brennan to the Justice Department for prosecution, alleging false statements concerning the Steele dossier in the 2017 intelligence assessment on Russian election interference. In the Middle East, the Israeli cabinet has overwhelmingly approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal to rename the Iron Swords War to the “War of Redemption,” with Netanyahu recently stating that ending the conflict early would have meant Israel’s “days were numbered.” We also note a tornado near Paris that tragically left one dead and several injured, and Poland’s new zero income tax law for parents with two children, aimed at supporting families and boosting the economy.
Finally, in Jewish history, looking back to October 23rd, we note events such as the first Babylonian record of Nebuchadnezzar III in 521 BCE, a usurper who challenged the rule of Darius during the construction of the Second Temple. Fast forward to 42 BCE, the army of Marcus Junius Brutus was defeated at the Second Battle of Philippi, leading to his suicide. It’s worth remembering that Brutus was one of Julius Caesar’s assassins, and Caesar was so popular among the Jews of the Roman Empire that, upon his death, they famously flocked to the Forum for nights in succession to mourn him.
