R.R. Walker, here with his wife Leedie, joined the Church of God in Morgantown MS on May 13, 1933. A Baptist minister and high school principal, he was the first minister in the Church of God with an earned bachelor’s degree. An inspiration to “Prepare for Pentecost,” he wrote, “I cried out, ‘Oh, Lord, here I am, take me; I am completely Thine, my heart, my soul, my body, my tongue, my all.’ It was then that the mighty power of the Holy Ghost came in and began to speak in a language that I had never heard before…. Oh, the joy! Oh, the love!”
