Really, I think a person can never even come close to comprehend Charles Page’s Post unless they too had a similar experience, especially as it related to what we use to call a State Overseer, now known as an Administrative Bishop. And it is true, anyone who has experienced such should never post it here. Posting it openly may create a great dilemma for you. I guess it would have to be private. -Melvin Harter, admin
I want to address this dilema. Yes, it would be detrimental to post your experience here for all to see. It should be treated as a public matter if you are continuing on in the ministry of the denomination.
I am making my experiences known in the medium of my capabilities, limited as they are. I am not being encouraged by anyone, in fact mostly discouragement.
Here is a verse of scripture that is applicable for me: Colosians 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
I will not make a pretense of being humble, I will not be pushed down into humility by any man. Don’t suggest that I be loving and forgiving when you don’t know if I have not been loving and forgiving. Good for you if you are loving and forgiving. Good for the woman who has been sexually abused if she is loving and forgiving. Good for her if she remains silent and loyal in the face of abuse.
I too will use the #metoo hashtag as should all abused and oppressed people. It is not politically correct and doesn’t fit into proper discourse procedure.
I have a reward and I will not be deceitfully deprived of it. Everyone oppressed and abused have a deserved reward. Stand and fight! You have God on your side!
