Set Your Affection on Things Above.

You are probably intrigued and wondering about this beautiful picture. I think God let me find it. But first…. these are prophetical days…..God help us to be ready.

The Bible is filled with prophetical books, chapters and verses. These days so many intricate and specifically detailed prophecies are really being fulfilled. So many things that we have become dependent on did not even exist to the extent they do now, nor were we dependent upon them, 25 or 30 years ago.

The entire cyber and digital world, along with worldwide cell technology, now demonstrate clearly how prophetical events like the ability of the entire world to see the Anti-Christ, the False Prophet, and the Two Witnesses, all part of the Great Tribulation as predicted in The Revelation. The writings of Paul, Daniel, Zacharia, and the teachings of Jesus are being fulfilled and only wait to be completely fulfilled. The means of fulfillment are already here.

Databases so powerful as to record and track vital information of earth’s inhabitants, and satellites drifting in space, on designated flight paths, with cameras like all-seeing eyes, so advanced as to read printed words on a matchbox lying on earth’s surface. Data harvesting from cell phones and then analyzed and recorded so that no one person and nobody’s likes, dislikes, and preferences are a secret unto themselves anymore.

I read again this day…Matthew 24. It is Jesus’s great prophetical treatise in which He addresses three major events.
First, the fall of Jerusalem which took place in 70 AD, when Titus, the Roman general, besieged the city. He then deals with the Rapture of the Body of Christ, the sudden catching away and the many signs on the earth that point to that event, including that we would become like the days of Noah, ignoring the righteous preaching of the truth and so absorbed in everyday living and the fulfillment of our base pleasures, that like Noah’s generation swallowed by the flood, never expecting it, the Coming of the Lord will happen, and in our busyness, we won’t see it coming.

He also deals with His own return to earth in Matthew 24:30, when all the earth will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. At the end of the tribulation, after the rapture of the saints, years earlier, He returns to set things right, and the day will come that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. It’s gonna happen, folks….nobody can stop it.

Yesterday morning I got a text from my dear daughter Aubrey. She and her wonderful husband Patrick have seven beautiful children they are raising in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Ezra, her four-year-old bundle of energy, is among them.

Ezra is a very happy, full of life, and somewhat mischievous little boy. He loves it outside, and he’s fast as lightning. He has caught blue-tailed lizards, which are very fast … .don’t ask me how. He’s just a smart, delightful little guy, but he’s all boy, and he’s a four-year-old.

My daughter said that she was eating breakfast with him yesterday, and he looked up at her and said, “Mommy, I dreamed about Jesus last night.” She said to him, “Honey, what did you dream about Jesus?” Ezra said, “I dreamed about Jesus and Matthew 24.” Aubrey said, “Dad, I felt cold chills run over me.” She said to him,” Ezra, do you know about Matthew 24?” He said, “No, Mommy, I don’t know about it.”

My daughter went on to tell me that in the Christian pre-school Ezra attends; they are teaching his class to memorize Psalms 8. Verse 2 in Psalms 8 says in the New Living Translation, “You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.”

A little red-haired four-year-old boy dreams of Jesus and Matthew 24, not even understanding why….maybe it was to wake up sleeping adults. Our nation has brutally murdered so many innocent unborn children, but Jesus loves the children…..red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight.
I had to testify of this…. To me, there is a quickening in the Body of Christ taking place. Summing this up, folks. Set your affection on things above.
Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.
