So if God and Jesus are one in the sense that most Trinitarians comprehend…then what is Jesus talking about, here? If Jesus prays to God and asks that God grant Jesus to have his disciples and believers to be one in Jesus, just as God and Jesus are one; and that they be one in Jesus along with Jesus being one in God so that ALL are in complete unity…does that mean we are equal to Jesus and God? That is the core of this scripture. Jesus wanting COMPLETE unity between He and His Followers just as He and God are one, so that they all are one in each other.
