Pres. Trump recently said there are philosophers who say the world will come to an end in the Middle East. We are not going to let that happen. Trump said he and his staff will not let the world come to an end in the Middle East, but there is a big problem: Pres. Trump and his staff are not in control of that.
On Jan. 29, 2026, it was reported that Israeli Rabbi Alon Anava recently delivered a lecture that cut through the noise of global politics to reveal the spiritual reality behind current events.
According to the Rabbi, the Torah (for some Jews, it is the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, but others say the Torah also includes oral tradition) says:
- When you become a king, president, or ruler, you lose your free choice.
- It’s 100% Hashem.
- Kings and leaders don’t have free choice—their decisions are guided by divine will.
- This principle transforms how we must view Trump’s actions—not as political strategy, but as divine messaging.
- As King Solomon wrote: “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will” (Proverbs 21:1).
- Trump, Putin, Erdogan—all are instruments in Hashem’s (the Hebrew word for God; a name too holy to say) hands.
The Rabbi asked, “Why is Hashem doing all this?”
- He compared it to the ten plagues in Egypt.
- Hashem could have simply removed the Jews from bondage instantly.
- Instead, He orchestrated a public spectacle demonstrating His power to all nations.
The Rabbi talked about current events:
- If you’re looking at what’s going on in the world and it doesn’t bother you at all, there’s a big problem.
- If you see what’s going on and it raises questions, then the main question needs to be: Why is Hashem showing us this?
The Rabbi answered his own question:
- The answer is direct.
- So, we will do teshuvah (repentance).
- Everything you see is for you to repent.
- Hashem is saying:
- The redemption is coming.
- The wheels are in motion.
- Everything has started.
- You cannot reverse the situation.
- Decrees are set.
- The timeline is all set.
- Everything is prepared.
- You cannot be sleeping right now.

As I see it, The Apostle Paul said God has an appointed day of judgment (Acts 17:13), and no one can change it.
The Rabbi’s answer to his own question should be sobering: God could bring things to an end without giving the world signs and warnings, but He is orchestrating world events to get people to repent.
And, as I see it, that is a spiritual reality.
Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that God is showing us the end of the age is close:
One, at the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC, on Feb. 5, 2026, Pres. Trump said:
- To be a great nation … you have to have religion.
- You have to have it.
- You have to have faith.
- You have to have God.
- I’m pleased to announce that on May 17th, 2026, we’re inviting Americans from all across the country to come together on our national mall to pray, to give thanks and to… We are going to do something that everyone said, That’s tough.
- We’re going to rededicate America as one nation under God.
Trump closed with these remarks about prayer:
- Prayer strengthens.
- Prayer heals.
- Prayer saves.
- Quite simply, prayer is America’s superpower.
(FYI: God has promised to make an end to all nations except one: Israel (Jer. 46:27-28).
Two, concerning perilous times at the end of the age:
- The last remaining nuclear arms control agreement between Washington and Moscow expired on Feb. 5, 2026.
- This marks the first time in over half a century that the U.S. and Russia are operating without any active treaty governing their strategic nuclear forces.
Three, concerning perilous times, wars and rumors of wars, and possibly the Battle of Gog of Magog at the end of the age: on Feb. 4, 2026, the Ayatollah Khomeini’s grandson said in a TV interview:
- Any Muslim country will do to Israel what Hamas did once it can.
- The Israelis know full well that if a day comes when any Islamic nation is capable of firing missiles at Israel and striking Israel, and if they are capable of erasing Israel, they will do to Israel what Hamas did to it.
- Israel knows, America knows, and the leaders of the superpowers know that if a day comes when the Islamic countries are capable of bombing Israel, they will do it.
- When the interviewer sought clarifications on whether he meant Gulf, Arab, and other Islamic countries, Khomeini’s grandson said, “All of the Muslim nations.”
- We say to the Americans: you will die before you see us humiliated.
- Iran will put an end to the United States mischief.
(Update: On Feb. 4, 2025, Iran’s leaders flatly refused to abandon uranium enrichment or to scale back its ballistic missile program.)
(Update: On Feb. 9, 2026, Tania Koenig reported that Prime Min. Netanyahu moved up a scheduled meeting with Pres. Trump at the White House to personally let Trump know that Israel’s demands include not only dismantling Iran’s nuclear weapons program, but also placing limits on ballistic missiles and ending support for militant proxy groups such as Hezbollah — provisions Iran has resisted and may continue to oppose.)
(Update: On Feb. 10, 2026, it was reported that Satellite images taken this week show Iran has filled in all three tunnel entrances at its Isfahan nuclear complex. Filling the tunnel entrances would help dampen any potential airstrike and also make ground access in a special forces raid to seize or destroy any highly enriched uranium that may be housed inside difficult.)
(More: This past weekend, Israel’s Consul Gen. in New York said, Iran’s efforts to develop long-range ballistic missiles, coupled with Iran’s aspirations to acquire nuclear weapons, reflect plans to target not only regional rivals such as Israel, but also suggest that Iran is seeking the ability to strike Europe and the US.)

Four, concerning wars and rumors of wars, Pres. Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan, and more: on Feb. 8, 2026, senior Hamas leader Khaled Marshall was in Doha, Qatar, where he praised the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre of Jews, rejected Trump’s demand that Hamas disarm, and said Hamas will continue to fight Israel.
(My comment: Pres. Trump has said Hamas faces swift destruction if they continue to refuse to disarm, so what is his problem, and why does he continue to delay and keep praising Qatar?)
Five¸ concerning a U.S. economic collapse that could lead to a global economic collapse early in the Tribulation Period: on Feb. 7, 2026, it was reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk doubled down on his warnings about U.S. debt, predicting financial doom will be guaranteed without the transformative effects of AI and robotics on the economy.
Musk cited the fact that interest payments on America’s national debt have now reached about one trillion dollars a year.
(FYI: I received an e-mail from a Rapture Ready reader that said, “So a country out of control dug itself into a debt hole. And only the beast system can save it. Who did not see this coming? Coming at the exact same time not one inch of the globe is at peace. Complete global turmoil awaiting antichrist. Time to go Home!”)
Six, concerning great wickedness (days of Noah) at the end of the age: on Feb. 10, 2026, Alex Newman (The Liberty Sentinel) wrote:
- It may be one of the biggest scandals in human history—and there is much more to come.
- The Department of Justice’s massive release of over three million files on child sex trafficker and Deep State fixer Jeffrey Epstein reveals jaw-dropping connections between Epstein and the globalist Trilateral Commission, the Rothschild banking dynasty, the Council on Foreign Relations, Bill Gates, the origins of cryptocurrency, and more.
- Not only did Epstein traffic underage children, but he also served as a consultant, adviser, and friend to some of the most powerful organizations, politicians, and banks in the world.
- The proof is all in the emails.
(FYI: The Bible teaches that the rich and powerful will buy and sell slaves during the Tribulation Period – Rev. 18:13 – and rich and powerful globalists have been trafficking in underage children.)
Seven, concerning Pres. Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu on Feb. 11, 2026:
- Trump made clear that no final decision was reached regarding Iran policy.
- Trump insisted that negotiations with Iran continue (even though Iran has and is killing thousands of Iranian citizens).
- Trump insisted that military options remain available if talks collapse.
(My comment: The Middle East is unstable, but Trump maintained that it is peaceful. Trump is saying peace, peace when there is no peace.)
(More: On Feb. 11, 2026, human rights advocates said arrests, executions, and violent crackdowns in Iran persist nationwide. This continues even though it has been several weeks since Trump told Iranian protesters that help is on the way.)
(FYI: It was also reported that Netanyahu joined Trump’s Board of Peace while he was at the White House on Feb. 11, 2026.)
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
