“The weak may be virtuous but we may never know.”

__Nassim Nicholas Taleb, The Bed of Procrustes: Philosophical and practical Aphorisms (Incerto Book 4)

Never confuse meekness with weakness.

Meekness can be described as controlled strength.

Meekness is being secure enough to not have to win every argument, or weigh in on every controversy.

Meekness can listen without having to interrupt or give a rebuttal.

Meekness doesn’t have to be seen, be first, or get its way.

But don’t think of meekness as keeping your head down and just doing your job.

Meekness stands straight up, looks a man in the eye and speaks the truth when it is necessary.

And meekness gets the job done and its done well–no excuses and no compromises on quality.

But…

Meekness is measured (that’s the vital word), exerting the necessary strength to achieve the mission with as little fuss and fanfare as possible.

Meekness is understanding that you’re not the center of the universe and that’s okay.

The ONE THING for today: With every person that chooses meekness, the world gets a little better. Make the world better today.

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth”.

Matthew 5:5
