This was a hand exercise I learned very early in Church. Here’s the church…
That lesson I learned early, the church is not the building but the people compose the church. Here’s the people.
That brings me to the disaster in Louisiana. The loss of Church of God property and facilities does not draw from me much compassion. The loss of personal property including parsonages draws out my compassion.
The Church will exist the following Sunday. They will improvise and that is encouraging and heartening. Administrators will fly down and put on “people” clothing to observe usually for political purposes. It will enhance their administration. They will raise money but they don’t know what the children know. The Church is not buildings and a blessing is hidden in the disaster.
