Today is Palm Sunday, also known as “The Triumphal Entry”
Matthew 21:1-9, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44 John 12:12
Jesus tells two of His disciples to go into a village and you will find a colt which no man has ever sat upon, loos him and bring him to me. The question I would like to ask is why a colt, why not a horse?
Ridding upon a colt Jesus was showing His humility, the next time He comes He will be ridding upon a hoarse, to clam what is rightfully His, His kingdom. The colt represents humility while then horse is an beast of way and strength. Jesus came the first time as a servant He will return the second time a the Leader of the world. When will He return? Only the Father in heaven knows when the return of Christ will take place. It could be today, or tomorrow or it could be 100 years from now. So, what should we be doing in the mean time? We are to be about the business which God put us here on earth, we should be ever watching for Jesus’ return, but always be working and watching.
Tomorrow I will post about what happened on Monday the day after Palm Sunday.
In Christ
