Today we look a little deeper at the preaching style of Dr. Mark Williams; it is clear that he uses strong emotive and expressive language. This use of language is focused on stimulating emotions and desires. It is used to awaken what is already believed or experienced and caters to what is hoped for and not necessarily what is.
It is a fast flowing way of speaking and doesn’t slow down to look at some of the real difficulties of what is being said. To do that would lessen the impact and would ask the listener to engage the mind to think and to reason, which is on a completely different frequency than emotive preaching.
Since Dr. Williams preaching is so well received even in a congregation of educated listeners we expect that it will always remain the same.
