Wednesday 40-day Devotional Guide

Wednesday 40-day Devotional Guide

Good morning!

I pray that you are off to a great start today.  Throughout the day I encourage you to work through the following devotional guide; it will help keep you thoughts centered on Jesus – and remember, He will keep those who do this in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).

Blessings,

dlk

P.S. I also added a wonderful affirmation at the end to help you stay strong emotionally.

Wednesday: What is “life”? (Part 3)

  • John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
  • Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV) The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
  • A third understanding of “life” is that in Jesus Christ we experience the best of life as we know it here on earth.  The 1963 Coke slogan was “Things go better with Coke.”  Well the eternal slogan of our Christian faith is that life is better with Jesus Christ.

Read: Mark 10:29-30 and John 7:38 and be encourage.

  • Bottom line, it rains on the just and the unjust – we all have dark days and have to face trials and disappointments; but in Christ we have a joy and peace that the world does not understand.  Truly, life in Christ is better than anything this world has to offer.

 AFFIRMATION:

When dark emotions surround me – I will combat them by following God’s plan for my life – my weapons will be: Repentance, humility, thanksgiving and praise and a strong assurance that the Word of God is true.
