    Paul said the “Traditions” had ALREADY been taught, he never mentiond anything about new traditions being taught may years later.

    The Greek definition is ‘transmission’ and since Paul was writing to Gentile Believers regarding a misunderstanding of his first letter, the tradition he references is probably the writings of his first ‘transmission’ or letter. That’s my take on it.

    Apostolic tradition to be continued with apostolic succession. An example for this context is when he wrote to Timothy about passing on the traditions to faithful men who would pass them on to the next one. This implies at least four generations.
