Pray for Manila
One of the most fruitful and successful of the Send the Light to the Cities promotion, the Marriott Metro Manila Church quickly advanced in its efforts to become a training center and church birthing congregation. World Missions Director David Griffis and Assistant Director M. Thomas Propes attended the official dedication, and expressed gratitude to God for such an impressive site.
Due in part to the diligence and dedication of its pastor, A.J. Velasco, son of Overseer Anthony Velasco, the congregation grew to over 300. The congregation put a down payment on office and training space located across from the airport, which they now occupy. In a city where real estate is astronomical, it is a definite testimony of God’s favor.
Strategically located, the church is growing and extending its outreach to share the love of Christ. The new Office and Training Center is an open door for the Church of God in an area comprising a population of over 12 million people. A lighthouse has been raised and will soon be paid for in full.
The SL2C Manila project is open and operational because of the faithfulness of God, WM supporters, and donors around the world.
