Yes Bethesda Church of God in Sumter SC with Pastor Al Sims has an altar and is used every Sunday for prayer for salvation, healing, rededication, ….

Yes Dillon Church of God altars are open all the time from the beginning of the service to the end of the service and more if needed

We have 2 alters and they are available for use during alter call or when anyone wants to pray at every service we have -
Our pastor, Rev. Ted Edgar–Full Gospel Temple, calls our church collectively to the altar for prayer most services.

Yes but no-one kneels at it they come forward for pastor to pray for them instead of allowing them to pray for themselves.

Yes we do at Bread of Life Church in Byron, Ga with PastorDavid FreshFire!! Our altars are where the needs of our people are met every service, not just on Sundays. Bondageās are being broken, lives are being changed, healings of hurts, and lives being saved! Oh definitely YES….. our altars are very much used!!

If an altar is a railing no. If an altar is a place up front where we go to respond to the call of God, to be ministered to and to perform ministry, where miracles take place, where people are filled with the Holy Spirit, where healing flows like a river and where flesh is often overcome by the power of God, Yeah we got one of those still! I don’t know how to do church any other way! Any Pentecostal church that doesn’t have an altar can’t really call itself Pentecostal can they?

I agree with you but they did remove our alter and I made a motion to get our alters back and it was seconded and passed they got new ones

There is nothing in the New Testament that speaks of a N.T Altar ?..when the N.T congregation met in one anothers homes ,did they set up an altar in the Parlor ?

Prove all things…Be as the Bereans. the COG I went to had no altar ,the pastor said they were not N.T and are just a church TRADITION ā¦.I think he was right on the money.

There is a literal Temple in Heaven ,God destroyed the Earthly Temple in 70AD and that included the Altar .

Yes and it gets used often. Anytime someone wants to go down they can whether in Sunday school or anytime.

They habe taken the alter out of the churches and replaced it singing and shouting wich will not save souls,it is just a fealgood thing any more,we to bring the alter back and get on our knees and repent before god:If my people which are called by my name,will humble themselve (in prayer),then i will heal the land,untill we do this we will just as sounding brass and tinkelimg symbels!im not ashsmed this is fro Bishop Dan Buckallew!”

Yes we do ! At every service , Our services are Campmeeting style, usually several souls are saved in most services and prayers for peoples needs PEOPLE LAID OUT IN THE SPIRIT, tongues/interpetations. Plan a trip to the FALLS.Canada and include a stop in COG Conneait, Ohio if you are a dry in need of a great Holy Ghost service COME SOON it will be worth your trip.. We always sit near the Speakers stand come on down……….
