How can the Father and Son be separate “persons” when the Father dwells in the son, and the son in the Father.
If “For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily” (Col 2:9) and it is only the Father that dwells in Jesus (John 14:10)
How can the Godhead be more than one?
If Jesus isn’t the Holy Spirit, why does he say I am with you always till the end of age?(Matthew 28:20)

The mystery of Three Divine Persons, all separate and yet One God is beyond human understanding. Humans like to deny what they cannot comprehend.
What you observed makes God different from all beings. It’s quite difficult to comprehend but it’s all through out NT that we can read the distinction between the 3 persons of YHWH of the OT
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. -John 17:21
Are all believers named Chris or Sim? Or is there only 1 believer? I think the above verse shows plurality in the Godhead.
Its not 3 persons but 3 manifestations.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

When Jesus was baptized, His Father spoke of Him. Evidently,they are separate and distinct. They are one in DIVINITY.
There is one Spirit who manifested in the flesh as the son of God. The very same Spirit, although not the fullness of Godhead as in Christ, but the same Spirit dwells in all believers. The Trinity is a confusing concept and God is not the author of confusion.
Do you have a wife? is she in your heart? It talks about what WE HAVE in our hearts. Same with God, he has Jesus in his heart as a precious thing and Jesus the Father.
A plain reading of the whole of scripture shows that the father is distinguished from the son, the spirit is a person and the three are one in nature, do you need verses?
Good questions and concern. If the bible has never confused you then has not read the bible. God deliberately puts them that way that you may search out by yourself and understand.

Because they are God
Because they are One in essence. Echad.
Jesus is God. But yet he’s not the Father. How? Because Jesus is God with us. He is God incarnate. So even as he came as a man, God the Father was still in heaven. The Holy Spirit is God’s spirit on earth. But God the Father no one sees. Jesus is just as divine. They are all the same being but in different forms. Similar to how you have a mind, spirit, and body. But since he is God, he is not limited to time or space and can be in multiple places at once. Jesus is who God reveals himself as. It’s hard for the human mind to grasp.
By substance the three persons is God
By virtue of the human senses, Jesus was human and God
What does “dwell in” mean to you?
1 in essence 3 in person. Study the doctrine of essence by credible pastor theologians.
We try to understand God in this dimension of existence BUT God does not LIVE in our or by the confines of our dimension.
