You mean like Abraham, Melchizedek and Job? They responded to God’s general revelation and had the righteousness of Christ applied to them. If they live as if there is no God, they will have made their decision.

This is an excellent question. I look at it like this. When Jesus said “I am the way,the truth and the light,no man comes to the father except by me” he wasn’t making a doctrinal statement. He was saying “I” decide who comes to the father…not anyone else. I think some will be shocked to see Jesus allow an aborigine into the kingdom while they,with their so called sinners’ prayer fire insurance,will be cast into outer darkness. It will be a situation similar to what the Pharisees will experience: Mt 8:11-12 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Not a chance. Every soul will get to hear the Gospel of the kingdom and than the end will come. God’s word will always come to pass.

In my personal opinion, God will judge us based on what we do know (which includes the laws He has written on our hearts). Do I think God has the right on who can enter His rest? Yes, because all authority has been given to Him from what Jesus did on the cross. I also believe that the last ‘person’ who wants anyone to perish is God. So ultimately, I think He will make the right decision.

This is what I know to be true,
When Christ died he visited the under world/spirit world and have you asked yourselves what he was doing those three days which he was there?
1 Peter 3:18-20
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
So I just want you to study this carefully for proper understanding.
That’s why we’re involved in family history work so that the death can also be redeemed if only they would accept our sacrifice divine here for them, 1 Corinthians 15 vs 29
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? -
The gospel will be preached to them in the spirit world before the resurrection giving all a fair chance to accept Christ or reject him

Grace is never owed … The moment grace is owed then it is no more grace … For grace by its very definition is undeserved mercy .. There is some seriously bad doctrine on this thread .. Some bad enough that I have serious doubts that some are even saved …

Whatever happens (the bible doesn’t say) we know God is perfectly just so they will get what they deserve.

Not possible.. the Gospel tells us He won’t come until the kingdom has been preached to all nation’s. Also it says everyone will now and know He is King.

God loves the whole world (John 3:16) and He desires that all men be saved and for all to come to the knowledge of the truth (1Timothy 2:3-4); God is not willing that any should perish (Matthew 18:14), but He wishes that all would come to repentance (2Peter 3:9). In fact, He desires to show mercy to all (Romans 11:32).
God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 18:23, 32; 33:11). Jesus desired to gather Jerusalem’s children together (Matthew 23:37; Luke 13:34), and He wept over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41). Similarly, why would Paul, writing in the Spirit, write that he would lose his salvation for the sake of non-elect in Israel, unless God truly wanted them saved (Romans 9:3; 10:1)?
If God loves everyone, and wants everyone to be saved, what about those who never hear the Gospel?
God reveals to humanity that He exists through His creation (Psalm 19:1). Paul taught that we can even know several attributes about God through His creation (Romans 1:21).
Paul also said that the lost can know that they have violated God’s moral laws through our own conscience, because He has written His law upon our hearts (Romans 2:14-15).
However, due to Total Depravity, a lost person could not recognize God’s existence or realize that they have sinned against Him WITHOUT the Holy Spirit enabling them to know that truth, but that is what He does for everyone. Paul said that the lost KNOW or KNEW the truth (Romans 1:19, 21), because God MADE it known to them (Romans 1:19), but they exchanged it for a lie (Romans 1:25). This is why they are WITHOUT excuse (Romans 1:20).
God is the God of ALL grace (1Peter 5:10), abundant in mercy (Ephesians 2:4) and grace (Ephesians 2:7).
Paul said that just as all mankind experiences death due to Adam’s sin, the gift of God’s grace would abound to all men even more (Romans 5:15), and that God’s grace has appeared bringing salvation to all men (Titus 2:11). God said that He would pour His Spirit out on all mankind (Joel 2:28-29; Acts 2:17-18). God has given everyone a measure of faith (Romans 12:3) and says that He “has provided FAITH/BELIEF to EVERYONE/ALL men” (Acts 17:31). Jesus said that He will draw all men to Himself through His crucifixion (John 12:32); as He is the light that came into the world (John 12:46) that enlightens every man (John 1:4-10), in order that He might save the entire world (John 12:47). This is by the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of their sin (John 16:8), precisely because they did not believe in Jesus (John 16:9). Jesus taught in the parable of the wedding feast that all are invited or called (Matthew 22:9-14), but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).
If a person responds to what the Holy Spirit has revealed to them in regards to God’s existence and the fact that they have sinned, then God WILL deliver the Gospel to them so that they can hear it, either through an angel/messenger (Revelation 14:6), or by sending them a missionary.
Cornelius is a prime example of this (Acts 10). God sent an angel/messenger that TOLD Cornelius where to go to get the Gospel (Acts 10:3-6).
God has created us with an internal need and a desire that can only be satisfied by Him (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
God even predetermined the time of birth and the location of where every human being who ever lived so that they would have the most opportunity to repent and be saved (Acts 17:26-29); and He commands that all man everywhere should repent (Acts 17:30-31). This makes absolutely no sense if they CANNOT repent. According to Acts 17:26-27, the people born in some remote tribe have a better chance of getting saved where they are than if they were born to a minister in the United States.
Acts 17:26-27, 30 (literal translation)
26 And He made/produced/brought about from one, every ethnicity/nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having established determined times (WHEN THEY WERE BORN) and the boundaries of their dwelling (WHERE THE WOULD LIVE),
27 TO SEEK the GOD, if PERHAPS even they might grope for Him and find [Him] (note that εὑρίσκω means to find through purposeful searching or even by accidentally stumbling upon something), even though HE IS NOT FAR FROM EACH/EVERY ONE OF US;30 “Indeed, therefore, having overlooked/disregarded the times of ignorance, God now commands all men everywhere to repent”
Note also that Paul acknowledges that even the lost are still His children/offspring, in a sense (Acts 17:28-29).
Again, man is totally depraved and incapable of seeking God on his own. But the Holy Spirit enables him to do so, and even convicts and draws him to do so. IF THAT IS NOT TRUE, then God IS VERY FAR from each of us, contrary to what Paul said… So because of the work of the Holy Spirit, we CAN seek God (NOT ON OUR OWN), and IF we do, He will send the gospel to us.
Again, IF they acknowledge that God exists because of His creation, and because the Holy Spirit has MADE IT KNOWN TO THEM, and don’t reject that (i.e. atheists), and then IF they recognize that they have sinned against God because of the conviction of their conscience AND the Holy Spirit, and didn’t reject that either, THEN He WILL send them the gospel to give them an opportunity, even to those He knows will reject.
Again, many reject God because the love darkness rather than the light. It’s not because God failed to save them, but because He permits them to choose.
So even if they’ve never heard the gospel, they still had an opportunity to be saved, but many reject the conviction of their conscience, and try to establish their OWN righteousness, just as the Jews did (Romans 10:3).

Very interesting question. I have stopped limiting people’s ability to hear the gospel through only people. I’ve heard too many stories of visions and angels sharing the gospel to people who never have heard. The Lord will redeem all of His elect.

Thats a good question sister I’ve pondered this for some years now, I use to be pretty quick to answer with a firm answer that they died and went to hell, now I see that the judge of the universe will do right.that probably doesn’t answer your question,but God is a merciful God he will do right

I would also add that if anyone gets into heaven it will be the only way anyone gets in namely through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and his imputed righteousness. That’s the way Abraham gets in that’s the way babies get in and that’s the way we get in and that’s the only way anyone gets in.
Even though the old testament saints did not yet know about Jesus it is through him that they are saved. It would be the same for any person in history.

I believe they will be resurrected after the thousand year reign of Christ and the gospel will be preached to them then. In the mean time I don’t think their souls go to hell. I think perhaps their in heaven but with limited access or something. I base this on David saying that he would go to his infant son who had died and not been old enough to understand the message of salvation.

And what about the millions of church damages souls? I have know people of other faiths who where more Christian in their mannerism then many Christians. The universal spirit of Yeshua, has nothing to do with a belief in a magic word belief, it is the heart that is measured.

Not up to us, so do not be concerned about it. Christ as a sovereign and righteous judge will make those decisions, and the decision will be both just and righteous.

The Apostle Peter explained that “Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is eight souls were saved by water.” (I Pet.3:18-20). Obviously, since those disobedient spirits were from the days of Noah, Jesus preached to the dead. Here is a clear inference that death is NOT the end of the story! I can’t leave this passage without commenting on the fact that Jesus went to hell to preach to those languishing there, showing us that there is nowhere too far removed for God to go after his wayward children. If we make our bed in hell, the Psalmist declares, we will find Him there. (Ps. 139:8). The word hell, in most instances in the New Testament should be translated “Hades,” meaning only the resting place of the dead, not the everlasting flames of torment that the church says it means.

If you’ve never heard then you are a law unto yourself. Then you will be judged according to your own law.
If you thus didn’t like people cheating you or lie to you, but you do it to others yourself then you are guilty as hell. You broke your own law.
Sometimes it’s more difficult to apply your own laws unto others than what you expect unto yourself. -

Everyone will get to hear the Gospel. Whether in this life or the next. God is no respecter of persons(Romans 2:11). “For this cause was the Gospel preached also unto them that are dead” (1 peter 4:6)

God is a merciful God! Human beings are born with a sin nature and instead of justly condemning us, God is merciful in what He withholds the punishment we deserve and shows compassion and pity toward us. Mercy is the withholding of a just condemnation.
