The word begotten means procreated and “in the form of God” is synonymous with “in the image of God.”
By definition God cannot be created in the form or image of anyone else!

Why are the refutation to this garbage deleted? Is this proof of the theological bias of this forum? Apparently, it is leaning to cults and heretics. If so, I will not spend another hour joining this thread. I for one refuse to be used by some unseen hands that inflict errors to readers.

Begotten doesnt only mean made in the image OF GOD. It is used in regards to any creature having offspring, particularly man. This statement is just bad and horrible from the get go. It definitely does not have exclusivity to pertain to only God.

God brought about, declared, ordained, put his stamp of approval on the person of Jesus of Nazareth. He was physically born of mary, that is he didn’t just float down from the sky like he ascended, so he was begotten… He’s also begotten in the way that he’s second in the god-head to God the father and submitted himself to God the father. Next point is his glory was preexisting… So if you are implying that he being begotten was created and thus just a man, yes he was a man, but he existed before his earthly body and was eternal… Note the passages where Jesus says “before moses, i am” and the jews picked up stones to stone him, because they knew exactly what he was implying… Also his prayers right before his death says to God the father “glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.”…. he was there before the world began and no angel is said to have been glorified.

You have to understand the Bible was not written in our language nor in our time. Also, monogenes in the Greek is used in Hebrews 11 when speaking about Isaac. Obviously he was not the first nor his only son. Hope this helps

Original Hebrew for ‘in the image of God’ 6754 in Strong’s defined as ‘to shade, a phantom, ie fig. illusion, resemblance; hence a representative figure.
Original Greek for ‘begotten’ 3439 in Strong’s defined as ‘only born’
There is nothing synonymous about these two words/phrases. Begotten is far elevated above ‘in the image’ as is proven by the fact that the ‘only born’ had to die to save the representative.
