What was reason behind divorce?
That matter
-
To the best of my knowledge,i presupposes that ,such kind of a pastor is not genuinly call for the ministry by GOD.
-
The one without SIN let him/her throw the first stone.
-
Biblically failed… Not good example for the sheep… I suggest to step down n do other ministry. But not a pastor… Sorry but pls a little respect of a pastor position…
-
We have nothing to say about him, whether he deviates from what the Bible have thought us we aren’t allowed to judge our brothers and sisters. Let God be God, let him be the one to judge us because he is the rightful judge.
-
He should step down. Its not judgmental to obey God’s word!! He is an ambassador for Christ
-
That pastor should be stripped of his faculties and undergoing counseling or disciplinary rehabilitation like the Uniting or Methodist, Lutheran and Anglican Churches. However, you will have a problem with self-made pastors who are man unto themselves with their own churches. Thats another very confusing scenario for next discussion

Adulterer
-
James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.
-
What’s a devorced? Do I have to wear a mask? Is this something in the past or is this a present issue?
-
If the divorce is a legal and a necessary one (feasible and morally justifiable), then praise God for the “grace of life”.
-
Since we have not been given the reasons leading to this divorce, let’s look at the action of remarrying. It is wrong biblically to divorce and remarry according to the Scriptures. You only remarry when one of the two dies.

NOT our job to #Judge
-
Depends on why he got divorced
-
He needs to step down the from the pulpit.
-
Resign.
-
Let God be the Judge
-
I don’t know the all that happened so I cannot judge the situation
-
Hard to comment about this. I saw
Ptrs separated from their wife then married another.but still God is using them in the ministry as a ptr. -
All sins can be forgiven..
1 John 1:9 ESV
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.Hebrews 8:12 ESV
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”Acts 3:19 ESV
Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out,Isaiah 55:7 ESV
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. -
I am not going to judge something I don’t know. We don’t know the situation or why they got remarried. Don’t judge before you know the story or the real background to it. Not just what people tell you
-
David as King fall into Sin He commited Sin to Bathsheba and that Sin was forgiven by God and DAVID became a man after Gods own heart.
-
If a pastor is having serious marriage problems he should step down and work on his marriage. See what Paul wrote to Timothy.
-
There could be exception in my openion. Only if a man or woman who undergo such circumstances and was not Christian, and it is only when he or she know on this particular subject after his or her conversation to Christ. But in this case, the person obviously know what the Bible has to say about the issue. This is plainly an act of rebellion and hard headedness.
Luke 16:18
18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery -
A pastor must be a husband of one wife(1 Timothy 3:2). It’s biblical and we have to stand in the light of the Word of God.
-
It does matter depending on who is guilty. If the pastor’s wife did commit adultery guilty, and the pastor is innocent and comes clean then the remarry of the pastor is not a sin. 1 Timothy 3:2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife.
-
what do you say about a person who persecuted and had Christians killed… and then wrote 2/3 of the new testament… if a pastor divorced and remarry’s that’s between him and God… i don’t think that disqualifies him at all, if it does then what was the cross for? (John 16:33)
-
I’m more concerned about the pastor who does not divorce his wife and has an affair with his secretary.
-
well,my basis is matthew 19:9 always remember that once you are entered to married life then you are not twain, but one flesh as in the beginning of time.now let us go to romans 7:2 and likewise in 1 corinthians 7:27,39. now,i go back to matthew 19:9 except of fornication then you cannot put away a wife but if you put away your wife and marry another then that is adultery it is against God law remember the criteria romans 7:2 and 1 corinthians 7:27,39.and he is a pastor well, if he does not know the regulation of being a christian or a gentil man then he is not fit to a marriage life he is not a Godly seed. thanks be to God.
-
Personally I think he would not be a very good example, and thus a questionable leader (if the wife did not commit adultery or walk away from their marriage first)
-
Every case requires a different response
-
Entirely dependent on circumstances and has to be considered by itself. There would be occasions where a pastor is divorced but is still qualified for the pulpit – for example, if the wife has abandoned the pastor. Hard to give a definitive answer when there could be so many issues surrounding the question.
-
You be better of removing the plank from your own eyeball than being concern with the splinter in someone else’s first . Then once that is done find out the story behind this question .
-
That he is only human. Pastor status does not make a man immune to sin or attacks of Satan.
-
It depends on the circumstances. If she was guilty of adultery the Bible says he can divorce her.
Also, in some situations the pastors might not have a choice. The wife can divorce him. -
People need to stop saying that Christians are not allowed to judge people. It is ridiculous and an extremely false teaching.
-
The board of elders would be looking for another pastor
-
I’d say he should remove himself from ministry!
He is to be husband to one wife! -
We Protestants can do whatever we like, so…..no problem!
-
I find many of these responses to be so sad. We have no idea about any details, and therefore we should not just rain judgment. There ARE BIBLICAL reasons that he could be perfectly fit for his position.

Danny S Deleon:
In the parent religion to Christianity, Judaism. it was up to the congregational courts to make judgments on private matters such as divorces. Outsiders may not be aware of the internal problems, offences that might be a legitimate cause(s) for divorce, that was/were not made public. So do not spread rumors, do not discuss this issue with others in the congregation, if it is your congregation, just move on to another congregation if your conscience will not let you stay in that one.

He is a pastor who divorced his wife and married another.
-
Depends why he divorced her.
-
He ought to step down
-
That he divorced his wife, and married another.
-
Fired! he should get out of the pulpit,
-
Repent get on with it and heal all involved
-
I’m really jealous. ?. But the scriptures won’t allow me to do that…?
-
He is in sin and if he doesn’t have a wife he is not a pastor because a pastor must be the husband of one wife
-
A qualification listed 2 times in the Bible for Pastor says Husband of 1 Wife.
