God told Adam what the consequence was for breaking the commandment.
Both Adam and Eve knew as she told the serpent.
Eve could have only learned from Adam.

Yes. God pronounced all creation, including man, as very good and rested. (Genesis 1:31-2:3).
God resting means that he has completed all he needed to accomplish, which included creating man in his image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27). -
Yes, because the Spirit of God was active in them until the fall of man.

The word PERFECT is relative to the criteria under scrutiny. For the purpose here the criteria which qualifies as “perfect” is God’s judgment of sin. Adam and Eve were perfect as they had no sin in the beginning.

I think it depends what you mean by perfect, God said that it was ‘good’ but paul talks about how much better the new, glorified man will be, so I think perfect is not the right word, sinless yes, perfect no.

Don’t think perfect. I think “very good” in terms of God’s overall plan that was unfolding. If man were perfect God would have used that language.

Only God is perfect. No human is. If Adam was perfect he wouldn’t have eaten the forbidden fruit 😉

No, not perfect. Only God is perfect, anything else is less than God so could not logically be perfect.

Only God is perfect. Free will means we will never be perfect but we were not in a fallen world in the beginning which meant we were innocent. Even the angels can choose evil, remember!

Actually the Bible is literarily true and even when it is being allegorical it has a literal point it is making… whether it is stating something descriptive or prescriptive it is always making a point …. but when it is telling you a story for the sake of a literal point it lets you know when that is happening… otherwise it is literally relevant…. anyone suggesting otherwise has believed talking heads over the instruction of God… well intentioned people or not.

The way I have read it explained by theologians is that Adam was created morally INNOCENT. This means he had no innate propensity toward evil, but he had free will. Believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and once we are fully glorified in heaven, we will be morally PERFECT.

Innocent being. A perfect human would not even have the capacity to sin. I take an Irenaean account of the Fall (with some healthy Augustinianism thrown in) and believe that humanity was still in a state of immaturity at creature. Hence, we could be deceived.

Creation was intentionally made perfect, without sin. It wouldn’t make sense for God to create something imperfect just for it to become more imperfect.

God thoroughly and completely finished creating Adam and Eve in The Garden.
Their decision to eat of one fruit although there were plenty other fruits (generous God), began a consequence they were made aware of. This action of theirs does not dismiss Gods finished work beginning from day one to day seven. -
i dont believe adam was created on the sixth day but a later time it could be this is why jesus said if he could make rocks to praise him

No, if yes devil wouldn’t have tempted Eve to eat out of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, a beautiful garden for that matter. The Bible made us to understand that our perfection is just like a filthy rag in the presence of God.

Glorfied body = will never rot experience suffering, xan be crippled with sin.

Yes, I believe so. Man didn’t fall away from God until after he chose to disobey God and actually eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Note, the temptation to eat that fruit is NOT the sin, but the actual action of taking the bite IS the sin.

Had Eve and Adam been Chinese, they could have eaten the serpent, and left the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as it was.

Jesus said, “Only God is Good.” God is perfect and in the Beginning, He created things perfect; anything imperfect is due to sin, not to the way God made it originally. Indeed, God calls His creation “good” (Hebrew טוב tôv) seven times in Genesis 1, and seven is the biblical number of perfection. Furthermore, the seventh time, after God finished His creative work, He declared the finished product “very good” (Genesis 1:31, Hebrew מאד טוב tôv me’od). It was only when Adam and Eve disobeyed The Lord, that they sinned and became imperfect.

I believe man was perfect. Sin was not part of man’s design or character at all prior to eating the fruit. Death did NOT enter the world until God decided to punish man for disobedience in the garden. I think that some believers may find this (man being perfect during the time of creation) to be extremely difficult to reconcile because we’re only looking through the lens of sin and have never experienced life without sin or the desire to sin. IF it was possible to do so, we might respond differently to temptation. Even when Adam and Eve were tempted in the garden, sin did not enter into the world until the MOMENT they ate of the fruit. Being tempted isn’t sin, but our response to the temptation can be disastrous.
