I have deep respect for Calvanist and Armenians. Both commit great sacrifice to spread the Gospel of Christ. Both have gone to the gates of hell to preach a gospel so hated by the devil that they both would risk their lives in fires and in the mouths of Lions to please God. Us born again Christians must serve to Gods glory!

I am not being intentionally malicious but I was under the impression that Calvanists believe in divine election and therefore do not go to great efforts in the spread of the gospel. Can someone provide gentle clarity?

I think both election and free will are Scriptural. However, the people I’ve met that have been swayed to take Calvinism as an absolute have demonstrated less or no effort towards evangelism.

As a firmly devout Calvinist, I believe that Arminians too are brothers in Christ. There’s simply an internal doctrinal dispute. Any person on either side of the dispute claiming the other is Damned, is the truly Damned one

If a Calvinist truly loves the Lord, not knowing whom God has elected or not, their lives should be about spreading the gospel to all. I know many devout Christians who are Calvinist who are burdened at the thought of someone not having a relationship with Christ and work to spread the gospel as much as possible. I don’t claim to be Calvinist but I do believe that you as a individual just don’t decide one day to follow Christ, the spirit has to draw to you God. There is nothing about sinful man that make him desire God, except for God humbling and breaking His heart and showing him his need for Savior. All Christians should be working diligently to make sure that all hear the gospel regardless of our beliefs on who is “elected” or not.

Calvinism denies the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ for all peoples. According to this wretched doctrine, God only loves the elect. The ones who didn’t win the “lotto” do not qualify because they came short of the glory of God even before time began.
This is clearly a religious indictment on the finished work of Jesus on the cross, who gave Himself completely for a broken world. The mere idea that an eternal God with limitless power and glory has purposedly limited Himself to only save and love a people that He pre-elected.
It is unfathomable to even think, much less believe in such travesty. In the mind of the Calvinist, the rest of creation never had a chance, to begin with (how convenient that Calvinistis are “in” while the rest are not). This also means that the lost were sealed with the “mark of Cain” to “wander forever” in “the corridors of hell” as lost as wicked sinners because this “God” willfully and maliciously chose to prevent them from receiving the mercy of God revealed in Jesus Christ. You guessed it, b-e-c-a-u-s-e they were not worthy.
To casually believe that such people (Calvinists) are part of us (note: I am not an Arminian either), is to agree to lower our Lord and God who is exalted to the highest heaven to our human level— which in fact would be nothing but a cheap idol that the scriptures are irrevocably set against it.

Calvinist are quite Christian. Dlnt sit and judge. I’ve studied many Faith’s all within gospel study. There is a calling that occurs from the Lord. Calvin’s place Jesus higher than most Christian’s. The problem for me is predestination. There are over 500 christian cults in the As us. I think the Holy spirit leads us to Jesus but after that we must dig for the rest and the Holy spirit helps us walk the walk once we know the Lord..
