I’m going to answer this question with a question. If an all-powerful God can save a soul full of sin, do you really think that we would have a choice to overrule His power by being able to walk away their salvation? If so, God really wouldn’t be an all-powerful God now would He?

Salvation is a gift, do you think God can take that gift to His children? Absolutely not.

No one can loose salvation because salvation is basically on Gods grace.

Grace is a gift, and gifts can’t be taken back otherwise it’s not a gift. I think we harp on our sins for than the grace and mercy that comes towards. Remember, where sin abides grace abounds much more.

Saved, salvation, saved from what? What do you mean by salvation? Is not salvation eternal life?

Salvation is COVENANT in nature.
God intended it that way. And breaking a covenant means death. Man has been breaking it since time immemorial.
God sent his son in the likeness of man and took on the punishment of a broken covenant — death.
And that punishment is necessary or else God wont be called JUST.Now salvation and participation of a new covenant comes when we are IN CHRIST.
Sin is a betrayal of God. Its like a breaking of covenant. However, the new covenant makes Christ the bearer of punishment at every braking/sin we commit. (Heb 9:15)Sin is a death already overcome. So the real effect of sin is when it hardens us to the point of leaving God. (Heb 10:26-29)
The atoning promise of the new covenant is relevant only if you are IN IT. Or IN CHRIST.
So if you read your Bible as a WHOLE and in context. YES you can lose your salvation if your heart is hardened to the point of rejecting Christ and denouncing him.

No. Because then the power of Adma’s sin (making us “slaves to sin”) would usurp Christ’s blood (which makes us “slaves to righteousness”).

Christ came for Forgiveness. He said we are forgiven as far as the East is from the West. IF you are His. He said all manner of sin is forgiven and the Father is FAITHFUL to forgive when we ask. He tells us to as as we pray and to pray constantly.
As a believer, you don’t LIKE to do things that God finds unpleasing. As a believer, you ALWAYS want to do what is pleasing to God, as Christ says of Himself… BUT we do live is a fleshy corruption suit.
Iff you Love God with all your mind body and soul, and you love EVERYONE as you love yourself by doing unto others as others do unto you, then God forgives the sins. If you hate people and don’t reverence God, you are not His and your sins aren’t forgiven.

If you were chosen, you were chosen, God doesn’t walk around with an eraser. If you believe in His sovereignty, you should believe that He had chosen you even before the creation of man.

Nobody can lose their salvation, bit they can willfully CHOOSE to walk away from it- Apostasy

Ezekiel 34-37 and the “I wills” of God speak to His sovereignty in salvation, highlighting 36:26-27 specifically. Followed up with Romans 8:28-30, 2 Cor. 3:15-18, and Ephesians 2:8-10, I’d say no you cannot lose something that God has decreed from before the foundation of the world. Who are you oh man?

One cannot thwart the plan of God concerning His elect. He does all that He pleases. His word will not return empty.

I believe people can. I mean it’s like this; let’s say you were Christian for many years and full devoted to God. But then something happened Maybe a family member died or you lost a really close friend etc. and you decided to stop following God. You have free will to say no to God. But by saying no to God, you also lose the opportunity to be with Him in heaven. If you couldn’t loose your salvation, how does freedom of choice come into play? God doesn’t force us to be with Him, and if we decide to walk away, He won’t make you stay. So yes I think you can loose salvation. Now before people have at go at me. This is where I stand. This is just my thoughts. If you wanna debate I probably won’t respond. But yea I hope this has made sense to you!

It’s quite the process, not easy, Jesus does not easily let you go , but yes you can stop believing and eventually lose your salvation; but good to know your salvation is not determined by anyone , it’s basically in your hands to keep faith in him

How can you “lose” what you didn’t attain?

How do you lose it? Drop it someone? Leave it down some place? Forget it somewhere?
Then once
You lose it? How do you go about finding it? Add in the paper? File a lost and found add with police? Hmmm -
If we can lose it, then it wasn’t meant to be a gift. If we can lose it because of wrong things we do, then none of us would be going to heaven.

Jesus said that He gives eternal life, and no one can pluck the believer out of His hands. He didn’t say, however, that we couldn’t choose to climb out of His hands. He doesn’t take us like a bug and close His fist so we can’t get away. His hand is open to receive us and open for us to walk away. Love for Him causes us to stay in His open hand. God has NEVER left man without a choice. ..ask Adam. God has always wanted a people who would serve Him because of love, and love cannot be love without the choice to not love. So yes, God allows a believer the choice to walk away, but as Jesus said, if you love me you will keep My commandments.

When you belong to Jesus it is a promise of forever. Jesus said no one can snatch you out of his hands.
If for some reason you lose your way, Jesus is also the Good Shepherd which means he will find you & bring you back. ? -

Sin CAN blind us to truths, but acknowledging that same sin in light of scripture actually exposes our corrupt nature so it works both ways and is NOT exclusive to 1 or the other in my opinion. I respectfully submit that many believers make the mistake of making assertions (not in asking the questions, but in making incorrect assertions) that it’s either a 1 or the other scenario where in some cases it could be 1 because of the other. We need to realize that. I do believe that 1 can lose salvation. There are former pastors who’ve left the pulpit for various reasons. While being the head of a church is extremely demanding with a ton of responsibility and should never be taken lightly, it’s also an honor that the highest standards and accountability will disqualify some from keeping the same ministry that they were originally called to. Some will argue that if a believer “loses salvation” that they were never saved to begin with. There’s PERFECT examples to refute this. Example, Peter was the only one bold enough to come forward in a profession of faith saying “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God” when Jesus asked all the disciples “Who do you say that I am?” Jesus even acknowledged this profession and stated the church would be created on Peter, that’s NO small statement from Jesus. That IS a legitimate profession of faith as Jesus acknowledged, yet, later, Peter was the very disciple to deny Jesus 3 times. If you can’t lose your salvation OR the argument that no one can backslide, then what did Peter do that very night in denying the Christ? If people debate in return that Peter was never saved in the first place OR that his profession of faith wasn’t sincere, then why did Jesus respond saying He’ll build the church on that faith in Peter??

While God had clearly shown this to Peter, thus resulting in his profession of faith, why were the other 11 silent? When I ask this question, I’m accused of pushing a Catholic agenda. In many cases, people conclude this without even knowing me, I’m not Catholic and have never been. While I do NOT negate the fact that God revealed this to Peter, my just as important question is why didn’t the other 11 disciples respond the same way? Asking this question with vigor doesn’t negate the power of God revealing anything to Peter, it sincerely asks why the other 11 didn’t respond. The bible doesn’t tell us this (at least not that I’ve read). As a matter of fact, the other 11 (and not even all 11 of them, unless it’s just not completely documented since the point of the context is the fact that Peter himself stepped forward), only responded with “Some say……some say” so they didn’t even have enough faith to take a personal position on this, they only regurgitated what they’ve heard.
