If they Reject all Christian Doctrine at what point do we get to stop calling them Christians?

The president of a seminary founded in 1836 on the “infallible” Word of God says in a new interview she doesn’t believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, the power of prayer, a literal heaven, or miracles.

  2. Tommy Dixon Raga says:

John 8:24 > JESUS THE SAVIOUR.
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

  7. Jeremiah Waldrop says:

    At this point –
1 Jn 2. 3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. …

1 Jn 3. 4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

1 jn 5. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

  8. Al Datum says:

I think we can safely say she’s not a Christian

  9. Vic Clement says:

This happens a lot more than it should. Seminaries and churches bring on secularists to try to be “more relevant”. And it’s a big mistake.

  10. Jerry Spencer says:

Who determines what Christian doctrine is?

Every denomination believes they are following the Bible.

  11. Eric Em Fernandez says:

And why would “she” be a seminary president?

  12. Carol Strong says:

wolves among the sheep crept in unnoticed cause the sheep are fast asleep

“What we see here is a hope to replace biblical Christianity with a new religion without anyone noticing.”
    Says it all right there….

  14. Clyde McKnight says:

At the point when they reject all Christian doctrine. But don’t wait that long. All false religions reject the divinity of Jesus. So look for that first. If they say Jesus was just a good teacher just a good man but they never say Jesus is God then that is a false prophet or false teacher or false Christisn or the “church is really a Synogogue of Satan. The Apostle John by the way their are only 13 Apostles. Eleven of Jesus 12 disciples the one they choose to replace Judas and Paul. The Apostlic gift stopped when John died. Look for what they say about Jesus. If they don’t say Jesus is God then you must witness to this person because he is not a Christian. He may be Religious. He may be able to quote the Bible but he is not a Christian

  15. Jon Snider says:

I am just praying for the “Little ones” she is causing to stumble my the lord protect them from this wolf.

  16. Clyde McKnight says:

It varies by denomination and sometimes by the church but they all must be based on Scripture. And make sure they say Jesus is God because if they don’t they are a Synogogue of Satan

  19. Samantha Finch-Finchley says:

Wow… Crazy. She sounds more like an agnostic who likes some of the ethicism of Christianity but not the substance of it.

  20. John Crow says:

Their is no Christianity without the resurrection She can’t be a Christian and is still dead in sin.

  21. Patrick Yisrael says:

  23. Mark Fonner says:

Once a bastion of great thinking and excellent theological premise, most of these “higher” learning institutions are nothing more than a breeding ground of secular thought and liberal ideals.

Havard, Yale, and many more “Ivy League” schools were once the best theological schools in the nation/world. Now, I would not wish my worst enemy to go to any of them.

  24. Al Hendrickson says:

The Bible is the foundation for all belief and practice. If we do not believe the Bible, we cannot justly call ourselves Christians!

  25. Avi-Asher Hyde says:

What in the world? What denomination is that?
Denying the Messiah’s resurrection is denying Him and the power he holds over sin and death.
It’s an objective statement that they are not believers. As believers we must know this and judge accordingly.

  27. Adam Smith says:

Firstly she isn’t a Christian. End off. Christ’s resurrection is a miracle. To reject one denies Christ.

I studied at bible college at Degree level (an AoG Bible college) and the principal and lectures were bible believing Christians.

It is well worth going to one, just have to find the right one.

  28. Vusumzi Ngceke says:

  33. Dan Malone says:

CRHINO….Christian In Name Only….Satan believes in God, Heaven, and Hell. Imagine that disconnect?

  34. Maloy Bryton Owen says:

Apparently this opinion is more common in seminary’s than we think

They just rarely admit it because they don’t want the controversy

    It’s a worrying trend

  35. Lawrence Solomon says:

Remember….wicked authorities in high places…it’s capture of anything that has to do with God…then those in charge start pushing their agenda..

  36. Andy Witherall says:

Not only is her understanding of things deeply flawed, (eg. the belief that the virgin birth is tied to a belief in the sinfulness of sex) but one is also left wondering why she sees any point in going to seminary, or being a “Christian” minister in the first place?

  37. Rick Guido says:

Very good point. Creed/statement of faith. What you believe makes you what you are.

  38. Madison Willoughby says:

People like this should not be running our faith-based institutions. Satan has taken over everything. This is heart-breaking.

  47. Anthony Delmedico says:

One could be excused for not believing in miracles. Others may leer a grimacing look to someone who rejects heaven. But, to anyone who says Jesus didn’t rise from the dead; sorry, you’re simply an atheist.

  48. Carl Butterworth says:

based on the headline aboce they are not christians if they deny the resurrection. Paul says the whole faith depends on or turns on the fact that Jesus was raised again-if he didnt get raised to life again neither will we.

  49. Rodney Jones says:

Not a christian, if she ever was!

  50. Rodney Jones says:
