I don’t see the conflict you’re asking about here. The people didn’t lose their salvation they lost physical life for their behavior just off initial reading but I would have to dig to be certain.
So being saved and God killing His people for being disobedient is different? Seems arbitrary saving His people from slavery since He knew they would backslide and He would wipe them out. Why not simply leave them in Egypt

This reminds me of the parable of seed falling on different soil. People will hear the gospel and grow in it but that’s a convert. This is the weed soil or rocky soil. It does physical or spiritual implications. A Christian devotes himself to the word and God. This person falls on good soil. Those on good soil don’t lose their salvation because they are Christians which I think is your question. Christians are once saved always saved. Converts are Christians biblically speaking.

Paul never contradicts himself. Your understanding in nescient.
That’s easy. When an eternally secure person sins, God will discipline them, sometimes unto physical death, as He did with the wilderness generation. For example, the Corinthians were getting sick and dying because of their abuse of the Lord’s Supper.
But being disciplines by the Lord is not the same as losing your eternal salvation.
Context, context, the passage which you reference here has nothing to do with us as believers, this passage here in 1 Corinthians 10 you speak of has to do with the history if Israel, this which Paul refers here was already history when he wrote it, your reference to loosing ones salvation has nothing to do with this passage. Go back and read in the proper context of what Paul meant in a context of history
Once saved upon acccepting Christ is always saved. God keeps His part of the deal to the end, but man has to do his part in maintaining the deal.
Though man may fail the Lord, He has never failed us.

The passage is addressing assurance, not election. It’s important not to conflate one with the other. When David cried out “take not your spirit from me”, he was still elect, but he had lost his assurance because of the adultery and murder he had committed. When he gained assurance that God had covered his sin, how relieved and happy he was. Though his life was full of trouble as a direct result of his sin. So it is whenever one of God’s elect strays and God disciplines him back into the fold.
To understand this passage you must read what Paul references. Go read Numbers chapter 13-14.

U need to take that up with the lord
First and foremost, everything Paul references pertains to the disobedience of which the Israelites committed repeatedly throughout the books of Exodus-Number. So, be mindful we’re talking Old Testament and Old Covenant.
In these verses, Paul is reminding the church in Corinth to remain faithful and to resist temptation, as this coincides with the New Law established by Christ as the terms of the New Covenant.
The Israelites were judged and punished according to their sins, which were in violation of the covenant God made with them on Mt Sinai.
In the New Covenant, we have been judged by God for our sin, but Christ came as the sin offering, paying the ransom for our judgement which = death. The terms we abide by within the New Covenant state that salvation is freely given to those who are faithful to God and believe that their sins are forgiven because of Jesus’ sacrifice.
I say this to help bring clarity to what you’re reading in these verses. However, I cannot definitively validate “once saved, always saved”—because I am not God and have no authority to make such claim.
I think that’s a great point. It’s similar to other points I’ve brought up for debate. Example, Peter was the only one to step forward in faith and declare “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God” after Jesus asked “Who do you say that I am?” Others didn’t declare any opinion at all and even stated “some say…..some say”. and Peter is the very one who denied Christ 3 times. Why do I bring this up?? Because even those who have faith in God still deny Him under the ‘right’ circumstances, but yesterday many on here argued with me saying that if your heart really is with God, you won’t have any problems (basically) and that you can’t lose your salvation. I agree with the question and disagree with those who assert “once saved always saved”.
