Nope. That’s the whole point in needing a savior. The only way you could answer yes is if you could live a perfect sinless life like Jesus did, and that isn’t possible because of our fallen state. Whoever says yes simply does NOT understand the holiness of God.

Accepting Jesus has nothing to do with one’s ability to not sin.
The fact that not everything everyone does is a sin is proof of that.murderers do not murder everyone.
Thieves do not steal EVERYTHING they could possibly steal. -

Jesus said Go and sin no more (John 8:11, John 5:14) When temptation comes we MUST take the escape route. If you already have a defeated mindset, you can be sure you will be living in defeat. Abiding in Christ we can overcome.

We are flesh. We must live in repentance daily. We can sin by speaking, doing, thinking and/or even feeling anything that does not bring glory to God’s name. We all will have a quick ungodly thought from time to time. This is why we must stay prayed up with our full Armor of God on because the enemy is roaming this earth to and fro looking for souls to devour. We cannot do it without the sanctification of the Holy Ghost.

It would be arrogant to think otherwise. We don’t have the flesh, the mind, our desires and thorns instantly removed, we are still subject to all the same old desires, the systems of the world, the immature mind and the whispers of the enemy. What we do have is a great high priest who advocates on our behalf when we do fail.

Being a Christian doesn’t make you sinless but it does it make you sin less.

Sin, yes. Pride, lust, anger, ambition, selfishness, manipulation…all these are inner workings of our sinful flesh that takes a lifetime of walking with Jesus to work on. The difference between a Christian and non-Christian person isnot that one sin and the other does not. The difference is in to whom one begins to emulate while the other does not.
In 20 years of walking in Christ and 15 years of ministry, I still sin. I still have need of repentance. That said, I am less of the old me today than I was 20 years ago. There ars still traces yet I address those and here is a kicker…I actually admit and apologize…relent and repent.
Christ cleans up and removes the guilt, shame and eternal consequence. This comes instantaneously however sinning less requires a lifetime of honest love and dedication to Jesus. -
Fight with our sinful nature is the biggest war room in our mind..but by the words of God we can win this fight and our Lord Jesus Christ has already won this fight on cross..it’s not a overnight change but we have to follow His footsteps to know the armours which required to stay away from sin..it will take time to exercise your mind to walk on God’s way..we have to work on our thought process by feeding words of God in it. Pray to God for help and He will help you..He is waiting for us always

There are times when yes you will and can go without sinning. As you draw closer to God it is possible. But you will always deal with sin and sometimes you will fall short. But thats okay as long as you keep striving to live for God and do your best

We still sin but now since you are a new creation, the bible says, your desire is to say no to sin with the Holy Spirit help, because you love Jesus and you want to please and obey Him.The more you pursue Holiness , read your bible and practice the basic Christian spiritual disciplines, you should also be disciples in a bible believing church,the less your flesh will take over. But it is a false notion that you don’t sin anymore, people that say this don’t read their bibles carefully enough. You will struggle with your flesh and spirit maybe on a daily basis but pray to the Holy Spirit for strength and God is so faithful. Temptations will come but the bible says that God will not allow you to be tempted more than what you can handle and there’s always a way out. Read your bible my friend. There’s a book by John Stott called Christian Basics, it’s a great book. Also understand we become more like Jesus through time and this is called sanctification. But sanctification is a process , we are never sinless on earth but when you get to heaven , that’s when you will be perfect! Amen! Show grace to yourself and as long as you want to obey Jesus and love Him and follow the steps that I gave you , you will grow in Christ! Listen to good preachers like John MacArthur, Paul washer, and preachers that preach from the bible! Bless you my brother!

No. You begin the process of regeneration and sanctification by the Holy Spirit…a lifelong process until we are changed from perishable to imperishable, mortal to immortal. 1 Cor 15:53

No, the old man in us never goes away, when we are “born again”, the new man takes over, but the old man rears it’s ugly head from time to time. Unbelievers don’t battle with sin, Christians do.

The question: “Is it possible to no longer sin?” Technically the answer is yes. I am glad all of you are not my spiritual counselors because your words contradict the Bible. Many use the excuse that we all sin, and can’t help it, but the bible says that temptation will not overtake you. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. So when you sin, you do it willingly, not by obligation. Rom 8 We are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. And lastly 2 Pet 1 says, His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness…so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. WHEN YOU SIN YOU SIN BECAUSE YOU WANT TO, NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO. If you can be sin free for 10 minutes, then why not 20, or 60, and if one hour why not all day. The scripture says we are free from sin but temptation is common to all. ! John 3:9 No one who is born of God practices sin because His seed abides in him; he cannot sin because he is born of God. The truth is that even though we do not have to sin, occasionally we do as in a single tense, not as an present active continual sense, for that would prove you to not be a child of God. For when we walk in the light as He is in the light, our sin is exposed and we confess it and are forgiven and set from from its bondage and therefore should not sin anymore. God wants confession, but confession without repentance is meaningless. The Spirit of God leads the children of God…and he does not lead them into sin. You go there voluntarily by yourself. Sin is a decision for christians not a requirement. If you do sin you need to put it under the blood and 1John 1:9 and not do it again.
Here are more scriptures that support my claim. 1.) What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! 2.) our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin. 3.) Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! 4.) But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification 5.) For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. 6.) Rom 5 grace would reign through righteousness 7.) For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 8.) seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. -

As Christians we cannot claim a sinless life. That’s why, the presence of The Holy Spirit is a constant necessity to overcome sin.

We still sin. Wesley believed we strive for Christian Perfection. We have not attained perfection, and striving means we will falter. But we get back up and keep going. We don’t stay in sin.

Yes, if you choose not to, and focus your mind on the things of spirit. Sin has no dominion over us anymore and we can master it, and we must. The problem is most of the time, we aren’t aware that it’s crouching, it’s desire to have us. But we can rule over it, if we walk in constant awareness of God’s presence.
It’s unarguably true that we are not perfect, but let’s not forget the place of the Grace of God. Titus 2:11. What the law couldn’t do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His only begotten son full of grace and truth to condemn sin in the flesh.
Gal 5:16 Walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Is it possible to walk in the Spirit all your life having received Christ? Definitely YES!!

John doesn’t say, “I write to you so that you sin less,” or say, “when you sin”, NO. He says, IF you sin- in the unfortunate event that you fall in sin- we have an advocate with the father; our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST full of grace and truth.Let’s ask to be led of the Spirit, and we shall not gratify the lusts of the sinful flesh.

No it’s not possible to no longer sin.. do you still tell little white lies? If so then you sinned. Forgiveness is a gift so ask daily if you know you sinned no matter how big or small it is. He is a forgiving God, don’t close your eyes without repenting or confessing to Him your sins because no sinned soul will enter Heaven.

In short, no. However, you have now been set free from the penalty of sin and equipped with God’s Spirit. This is where it gets spooky. Based on Pauline theology, we don’t really have “free will.” Especially if you read Romans and Galatians. We are either slaves to our old nature which is corrupted by sin or we can become slaves for righteousness sake in living a life in which God can say “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Here’s the catch, God really couldn’t say that of anyone apart from Christ. It is always the righteousness of Christ that clothes us, or we’re naked, blind and dumb, but our egos are smoothing things over for us in natural life.
I think the most important thing you could take from this ramble is this, BECAUSE OF THE FINISHED WORK OF THE CROSS AND THE AUTHORITY BESTOWED UPON HIM IN HIS RESURRECTION, IN CHRIST JESUS WE FIGHT *FROM VICTORY* INSTEAD OF TRYING TO ATTAIN IT IN OVERCOMING DAY TO DAY SINS.

SO are you saying that you never sin, and that if I do, I am just not saved? If that is what you are saying, say it plainly. If not, give me some truly scriptural reasoning, rather that posting scripture verses that would appear to say what you yourself don’t even believe.

Don’t you just love it when somebody throws a list of Bible verses at you without any explanation of what they are trying to say? Remember that the Scriptures were given to record God’s wonderful deeds and to draw us to Him. They are not grenades to launch at others as if,by merely posting those verses, you have proven something.

We are dealing with young men and women who are really just children who are trying to understand. Some are just arguing for arguments sake. Some are just having fun and really don’t care. Some are really trying to understand the Words Of God and it’s our purpose as elders to stay calm, show love, have God’s Wisdom and Spirit and help them as God gives us ability like that.
