Prayed over a to-do list, built a real prayer list. Then H.S took me away. Power in the blood!

I was 4 when I became a Christian, and it was fear of hell… So my whole life has been recommitting, repenting, reflecting and having relationship with Christ.. I no longer believe in the classic hell I was taught but asking my mum to where I would go when I died made me a Christian, and began my journey..

I met two little old ladies that in one hour explained the gospel to me and asked me if I wanted to pray with them. They led me in a sinners prayer without me knowing. I think they tricked me lol.. I never saw them again but my whole life changed. I got into the bible and into church and am living the Christian life. The Holy Spirit led me away from my old Roman Catholic religious life..

I guess it was difficult childhood! After realizing that God was the only one that hadn’t abandoned me, I decided to follow Him no matter what my family though or said of me. When I was down it was God that helped me up. When cried it was God that wiped my tears, When I was broken it was God that got me back together. When I was alone it was God that keep me company. When I was sick it was Him that nursed me. When I was scared He comforted me Not them. I ow Him my life in every sense of the word.

A neighbor gave me a little NT when I was five. I knew I was apart of it and wanted to learn. Didn’t understand much at five, but I’m like another commenter: feared hell, recommitted many times, repenting, looking at Him, seeking Him, looking at how loving Him changed me and is growing me, but mostly, as that child, I knew He knew me!!

When materialism failed me I knew I loved lord Jesus
-
Seeking the truth about God led me to Jesus and broken pride allowed me to submit to him.

God spoke to me through a book. I’m a reader so He knew just how to get my attention. I’d been searching and this novel answered a question I had that was holding f me back from accepting Christ. I did right the the university library, 10/4/2000.

Didn’t have a choice. I had a. “Paul” experience.(except I didn’t go blind) But when you get a wake up call like I got, it’s simply not possible to ignore it.

Well Jesus. But Pastor Rod Parsley’s preaching, and the college he runs, their teachings, led me to true devotion like I never used to have. The Fired up for God kind of devotion

The existence of an infinite personal God with whom I could have a relationship through the cross

It’s the Holy Spirit… If we try to say that we have any part in that, then we would have something to boast. But we don’t have anything good that we can be proud of. Faith is a gift from God, and through it alone is our salvation. Upon knowing your condition in front of God; His love for us; Mercy and Grace… These grounds and the Holy Spirit will be sufficient enough to compel you of following Christ.

I was a witch and the other side has negotiations that you can’t keep up with.
Even though a spell would bring illness to a enemy
Or money to my houseIt is always a trade off
You want money
Two people you know are cursed with money problems immediatelyYou want health
Two people you know are made I’ll
Maybe even dieJesus paid it all
Although it’s not magic
That I just ask and receive
It is the lords will
What I do
And don’t
For his
Will is to better me
And not to punish me
He may not answer one request
For he has much better
And yes
He always providesSee god knows your end goals and heart
If your goal is to be a race car driver
So you pray for a Lamborghini
But
If you get it you reck it and you die
Instead you break your foot
End up in the hospital
Next to Richard petty and dale earnheart
And they offer to give you a chance on their pit crewGod makes
Your desires of your heart happen
Because with true passion and love of Christ
He’s the one who puts it thereGod is love

It was an en extremely slow process. As C.S. Lewis puts it “I was drug into the kingdom kicking and screaming”

Nothing else makes any sense. Everything else is a deceptive lie: atheistic science, national history, politics, advertising, culture, presidents, reporters, wealth, materialism, etc. Truth is only found one place.

I got to the end of myself and my sin

God took everything from me that I thought mattered. Marriage, family everything. I was alone and was ready to take my life. That night, for the first time, I experienced the love of God and the first thing the Holy Spirit did was lead me to read his word. He revealed Christ to me and showed me that my life was a mess because of my sin and that I was headed for hell if I didn’t repent and trust in Him to save me. He also led me to a community of believers that showed me what unconditional love looks like. Years later my trust in Him was solidified through being exposed to good apologetics and finding out that my faith isn’t blind faith but there are true, intellectual answers for why the Christian worldview is the only possible explanation for the reality we live in.

An awakening

Honestly, I was miserably broken. A drunk, promiscuous, lonely, depressed, craving anything but sobriety yet I knew there had to be more to life. I could feel it. I knew life must be more than an 8-5pm job, multiple bottles of wine a night, a booty call (if I could get one), and senseless show binge watching. I knew there was a God. I knew He had plans for me. I knew I was going against Him because nothing in my life represented anything that looked like His love, joy, peace, etc. So I repented. There on my living room floor, in the middle of a Sons of Anarchy episode, I melted onto the floor with a heart full of repentance. I told God I was tired of living day in and day out not fulfilling any purpose. I told Him I knew my ways were getting me nowhere good. He had already rescued me from homelessness. He shielded me from disease and death. Yet His grace continued to cover me over and over and over again as I recognized His mercies but had never fully submitted to His will. So, that night, it was as if He recounted within my mind years of my wandering life. All it took was a flash of all the nothing I had been doing and I realized He had better for me. I repented, surrendered and, from that moment forward, God began shedding the old man from me, molding me into the likeness of His Son! God is SO incredibly good. He LOVES you. He has so many plans for your life, plans that will prosper you and bring Him glory. There is absolutely nothing else better than living for the one true living God ?.

Conviction by the Holy Spirit
-
I hear His voice and follow Him.
-
It was the deepest truth I’d ever known
-
He called me out of darkness into his marvelous light. I was a extreme drug addict standing at the gates of hell and he picked me up and called me to live for him.
-
My mum was a spiritualist and I got pinned to the bed by demons. For someone reason I cried out to Jesus for help and the demons stopped! After that, when I heard the gospel sometime later it all made sense & got saved.

Conviction of how much of a wretched sinner I am in desperate need of THE Savior

When I opened up the scriptures and read about Christ. I felt like the blind man Jesus made well!

Conviction….it’s a miracle wrought by God in my heart…

My grandmother shared her faith we me as a child. I started thinking about it, studying at church and I felt the faith to believe after hearing the gospel multiple times. I believe the Holy Spirit urged me in knowing that the gospel is truth. I’ve been on this path ever since.
-
I couldn’t stop drinking on my own! I needed a Godly intervention! I’m proof the lord can become your salvation when you call on him! Praise the lord for His love for this broken individual!

Recognizing the sacrifice made for me on the cross.
-
The fact that God changed my heart and my way of thinking in the matter of just a couple of days. I hated myself and everything around me, I begged God to kill me multiple times. While reading “Revelation Unveiled ” I decided to attempt to open my heart again and let God in. Within a couple of days I was a complete changed person. I believed in God before but was never Spirit filled or a follower. I know that I still fail Him constantly, but I’ll never turn away from Him again.

He saved me from meth addiction and alcoholism. Restored my home beyond what I could have ever dreamed. I can never repay the debt I owe. Yet He continues to pour out favor in every area of my life.

Ah. How beautiful that God puts people and circumstances in the same path to accomplish His will and plan and purpose

Ran out of objections .. evidence given .. questions answered

I’m an agnostic atheist, so I never said any such thing.

God telling me I need to start bearing fruit because the axe is at the root of the tree lol.

That’s one of those questions where you cannot answer in one sentence.
It was a belief something beyond me was in control of all.
I read the bible. I meditated on the answers. I had to believe in the resurrection because if I couldn’t accept it then the rest of the bible, in my opinion, couldn’t be true. I studied outside the bible. I did the research and one day I just believed all of it.
Every last word. I do not profess to understand all of it as the Bible is an ongoing learning experience, but I’m learning every day.
I trust God and have faith He has the answers to questions I do not comprehend, but I do believe. -
About 2 years ago my wife and I had moved to a new city, and she was very insistent that we start attending church—something I had not done regularly in 10+ years. After a few months into a bible study, I came across this verse:
“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”
1 John 4:10 NLT
https://www.bible.com/116/1jn.4.10.nltThis is what really pulled me out of the darkness. It finally clicked that it’s not about what I can do to gain salvation. His grace, his love was not something I could earn. God loved me so much, even though I rejected him, that he sent his Son to be tortured and killed so that I could spent eternity with him.
It all finally made sense. My heart and my eyes were opened. I truly felt like I had been made anew. I was hungry to absorb more of the Word which has only made my faith stronger. I can only praise God for bringing this lost “sheep” home.

I learned about Jesus in Sunday School when I was a little girl. My parents fought like Iran and Iraq, so the truth of a Father who really loved me just gripped me and never let go.

History and reason. I’m not perfect, but He is.
