Apologetics is the branch of theology that is concerned with defending or proving the truth of Christian doctrine. The word “apologetics” comes from the Greek word apologia, meaning “defense.”

In the same way, Christians be thoroughly familiar with the Word of God as written in the Bible. ***2 Peter 2:1 (NLT) But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them. In this way, they will bring sudden destruction on themselves.***
Nowadays, there are many in the religion who introduce false teachings. The written Word of God in Scriptures are twisted and interpreted to suit the motives of the church while others might have been possessed by the enemy, Satan, the father of lies and deception. Some religions were organized based on heresies in the days of old, especially big churches organized long time ago in the days of Kings and Emperors in Rome, Antioch, Alexandria and Constantinople as written in the History of Christianity by Justo Gonzales. We should refute and denounce the evil motives of the false teachers and reaffirm Christianity’s truths—the authority of Scripture, the primacy of faith, and the certainty of Christ’s return.
We should check any doctrine posted in Facebook or any social media with the Bible if it does not contradict to the written Word of God. Christians are supposed to study, meditate and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to rightly divide the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15). If there is rightly dividing, there is also wrongly dividing the Word of Truth.
