I have seen a lot of posts during my time on this group, posts of believers asking simple questions or maybe having some doubts, or unbelievers asking questions about what we believe. And man, am I ashamed of most of these responses. Most of you people just attack them for asking simple questions. Talk down to them. Half of you respond no better than the atheists do to us. Are you Christians? Then you are held to a higher standard. We are supposed to be a city on the hill. The light of the world. How are we supposed to win people for Christ when we can’t stop talking to them like their trash? Where is the love? Are you going to walk with the world or are you going to seek the one who is above it? Don’t even bother arguing with me. I’m here to say my piece and be on my way, and I will not be reading your comments on this. I am ashamed of you. Not all of you, granted. Some of you are refreshingly considerate and kind to others. To the rest, do you remember what the Lord said? Love your neighbor as you love yourself. If you don’t like people talking down to you, don’t talk down to them. If you don’t feel like listening to me, fine. But go talk to God. Seek Him. Examine yourselves. I will pray for you and for myself as well. We are supposed to be better than this. May we reflect the one who gave everything to save us, who suffered willingly and made Himself as nothing to give us everything. Tomorrow is Easter. May the Holy Spirit transform each of us who knows God. May we live lives that every day are pleasing to the one who made us and called us. God bless you all.

It’s possible that many here are just church goers and have a head knowledge of the Bible but no compassion. Lots of pride in the responses. That usually happens when a person hasn’t experienced or acknowledged the mercy and love of God in their own life. They might hate themselves and so look down on others. We’ve all struggled with pride

I see a lot of truth being said in a neutral way that is taken as insult. I see people being unhappy with truth in scripture and then freaking out.

Bravo Jacob Weaver. I agree 100%. It is possible that we can be right and wrong at the same time. We can be right doctrinally speaking, but be wrong in the spirit from which we speak.

I agree, I have been somewhat surprised at the aggressive nature of comments from fellow Christian’s. I am aware none of us are perfect and it’s easy to get frustrated with people who don’t want to hear truth when they were the ones asking for it. Well said Jacob Weaver we all need to examine ourselves constantly to ensure we are being the example Christ expects (demands) from us. God bless you all.
