   Galatians and Paul’s warnings are about the “gospel” and not adding to “it” – the clearest passage about what actually is the gospel is in 1 Corinthians 15 —> Don’t get me wrong I fear for the people in the “WOF & NAR” churches – but just because they believe lies about things are not essential for salvation – does not of necessity “unsave” them – we are saved through grace through Jesus – not of our own doing and surely includes – not needing to have a “perfect understanding of theology” – I firmly believe over time the Holy Spirit will lead “his sheep” out of apostate churches. I would recommend to you to keep preaching the truth and keep loving them – you might be their only “life line” and you might be the one to “snatch them out of the fire” as written in Jude….

   Me! I was in such a church for 8 months took me 6 months to reconcile and relearn.

   But I didn’t get your first question, if it was even asked.

   As for salvation.. for me, as long as they profess Jesus as Lord and Savior with their mouth, and believe with their heart that He died and risen and now seated at God’s right hand – which is the gospel, and believe according to the apostle’s and nicene creed, they are saved.

   Great question… All that stuff about declairing and demanding God to heal is so, so wrong. Just look at the story of Job…, look at Lazarus Jesus’s best friend, Jesus never gave prosperity to Lazarus and God allowed Job, an inocent man to suffer for decades only to defeat Satan. Look at the life of all the disciples and apostles of the first century…. they all suffered persecution, sickness, torture, defamation, unfair trials, and horrible deaths, yet they saw dying for Christ as an honor and were not afraid. Yet they encouraged all to respect the authorities and to pray for government leaders. We must as the church do the same now. It is time to obey safety guidelines, to remain calm a d free of fear, to strengthen our faith so that we may be spiritually ready to witness to any about the gospel of salvation….. right now there are many people asking faith questions. Let’s be there for them, let show them we are not fanatics but the real deal. We care for the lives of our loved ones. We must be good stewards too. Let’s be light in this darkness, let’s stay connected and use all resources at our disposal to reach people with the gospel. And let us be ready even to die if it happens. Job got desperate for a moment but he didn’t lose his faith in God, Paul had a terrible sting in his flesh like a sickness, but he never stopped preaching even while in chains.

   This crisis is just a filter, a testing of our faith, and evidence that what is written will happen. We are living prophetic times and God’s showed us his love by warning amus about all these things since very long time ago so that we may beleive and be prepared.

   In Romans 9:6 it says – But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel. Likewise in Christianity, not everyone is a Christian even though they might think they are Christian or call themselves Christian. The Roman Catholic church and system is a clear example of apostasy. The thing is God has given everyone a brain and His word to use. So why do we fall for the whiles of conniving men? Firstly those conniving men may or may not even know they are in a false system. And it’s just their tradition to stay on without asking questions. Such people usually don’t have any fear of God and do what pleases them or their leaders by twisting scriptures to suit their own motives. If you’ve gotten out, stay out. When I was a new believer I was tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. But now having read my Bible for over 20 times cover to cover I’m no longer tossed but can understand clearly when something is nor scriptural. I’m currently a non-denominational reformed Christian believer worshipping God in a Presbyterian congregation. There are many things I disagree about Presbyterian beliefs but this has been made clear to the leadership. The differences are superficial and not foundational. If they were foundational, I would leave. But because they are superficial, I have stayed and they are after all, my brothers and sisters in Christ.

   All Pentecostal churches are not prosperity, and most believe that God can heal if he wills it but not on demand. Unfortunately some way out there churches do, like Bethel in Redding CA and many others. To prove this just go online and see just how many Foresquare churches and Assembley of God churches have closed (thousands worldwide) for the pandemic, and are having a video service. Too often in Christianity we paint with too broad of a brush. All of this or that is good or bad statements are usually incorrect. Also, unfortunately there are certain churches in any denomination that go overboard with their own traditions. I am glad that you got out of a church that was like you described. I hope you find another good church near you so you can find Gods truth in the Bible. Be like the Bereans who listened carefuly to all Paul had to say, then checked it against the scriptures.    Reply please don’t tar every Pentecostal church with that thinking / teaching / doctrine most are biblically sound. Another gospel in relation to salvation would be any other way of salvation out side of grace alone, through faith alone (including repentance) in Jesus Christ alone. It’s possible to be saved and be in error

   What components to you are deception? Extreme because you can’t name and claim anything, but standing on what the Word of God states isn’t deceptive if its not taken out of context. Just take time to really breakdown the components u see as deceptive and study them. We model from the early church.

    I don’t know how to say this without sounding like a total jerk. this gospel that you won’t get sick or that God will heal you if you just ask, its from the pits of hell. christians get sick. christians die, they may not be healed this side of heaven. why did Paul have to suffer if it was Gods will he be healed, what it was not his will? so because it was not Gods will paul be healed its all of a sudden his will that you or i be healed yet paul and steven and those after the biblical accounts were written died yet we are to believe we’ll be healed if we have enough faith? what? Paul and Steven and and John must not have had enough faith. I don’t mean to sound like a jerk either or that I am stepping on toes. this is the nicest way I knew how to put my thoughts.

    As long we worship Him and love Him. Praising Him and giving all the glory. The cross is the symbol of our faith. Religion is not God made us to worship.

    Worked out great for Jesus and the disciples. None of them suffered and got executed for their faith. It was all #blessed…… Doesn’t that show what to do with prosperity gospel? Jesus was homeless and Matthew 6:19-34 speaks to these material worries people have and the love of money.

    I am Pentecostal in an east European country. The prosperity gospel is so unwelcome in our doctrine. Last year 2 preachers were removed because of that stile of preaching. Also is the most prosperity from the evangelical field (someone said above that is not).
