There a number of reasons this verse may have been added unintentionally, so I don’t think it’s safe to assume they were a heretic.
It may have started as a marginal note that someone penned in. Later the scribe coming behind may have thought it belonged in the text so he inserted it there.
So we can argue if it belongs or not but heretical maliciousness isn’t something we can assume.
No. When John the Baptist baptized Jesus the Father said “this is my Son…” Then the Holy Ghost took the form of a dove who was present during this situation. And Christ was baptised. Hence the triune God mentioned in the bible. There are other places where God shows us that there is a triune God but only 1 God.
Even if this is a fabricated verse, there are many other verses in the bible that testify to the divinity of Jesus so yeah, I’m not bothered

No. It was probably a marginal note or a sermon snippet added into the text by a well meaning transcriber. The inclination of a scribe will always add to the text out of safety, to make sure they didnt forget anything. If they see a note in the margin, they will add it just to be safe. No ill intentions.

I see it like this. Your physical body holds a spirit and a soul (3). When u did a physical death, your spirit is released and it’s everything you wanted needed to be and now can do as it also joins a family of universal consciousness and connectiveness. Your soul stays by means of everywhere you’ve been, things you’ve said, emotions you’ve incurred in your physical self are left here by means of vibrational activity of all those things (energies) you’ve placed which also can mix with others and this also allows your soul and spirit to stay connected so as spirit u will look and be able to see what u need to to come to terms to what you’re physical body encounter and u heal as spirit what you couldn’t on earth in body. As the soul understands and heals the spirit more and more joins the collectiveness. The body struggles bc (the father) and genetically passed “tells” you what to do all the time and punishment is received if u go against that and the only way to free yourself truly is to transition out of body. I am a non trinitarian. 1) I beleiev this verse to be authentic and 2) I think it is one of the BEST verses as proof AGAINST the trinity…
It is safe to say that the premise of this post is very weak because it is very non specific when it says “all scholars” and “added to the scripture”. This is a very pitiful attempt at discrediting the Bible. How about putting some effort into actually researching before posting? How many of the 5000+ manuscripts was it “added” to. How many scholars is “most”?
No. I believe the Holy Spirit, within later Scribes, added to His own work. This is because Mark 16 seems to have been written later than the rest of the Gospel, but is still considered authoritative.
You could say the same about the account given of woman caught in adultery, here’s what I think happened with that! The story about the woman caught in adultery shows us that Jesus did not implement the punishments demanded by the law of Moses Jesus didn’t even accuse her let alone condemn her by the law, but instead let her go by the extremely wise way he stop the law being implemented. He never said dont keep the law he said only someone who has no sin should be able to inflect her punishment, of course they all had sin in their lives so that counted them out. If Jesus had of said to them “no longer punish people by the law of Moses” he in their eyes would have certainly been a heretic. As we all know thats lots of the Jews believed in Jesus but
still insisted that Christians still had to keep the law and when I say keep the law I mean in the sense of keeping it to be righteous with God.There was only one person there that day who was without sin and that was Jesus, he was the only one qualified to condemn her as he had no sin. Even so he didnt even accuse her of her sin and so condemn her for it. This was done on the basis of what he was about to do on the cross as was the healing’s and miracles and forgiveness for all sin was purchased there as was healing of all disease’s also as they were curses of the law and were oppression of the devil. This account of of the woman caught in adultery was not even in the original Gospel of John according to historians it took a while for the compilers of scripture to insert it. They knew about it but was just to risky because the Jews could actually say that the disciples taught things that were against the law and of course stoning to death was the punishment for adultery under the law and Jesus didn’t allow the law to be implemented in this instance. When Jesus said to the man Son your sins are forgiven rise up and walk the man had not even asked for forgiveness it was given to him free based on what Jesus “the lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world” was about to do, righteousness was imputed to this man even before had died, so we see this is the truth here. We know he was a sinner because Jesus said his sins were forgiven, so therefore as his sins were forgiven he was now in a position to be healed for his condition was due to the punishments through curses that the law brought to him the law was all about curses of sickness be but on sinners. But Jesus had come to redeem them from the curse of the law.

It is amazing how these “experts” say that “older and best” manuscripts did not have many of these scriptures.
Older manuscripts should then be the standard. If the older manuscripts did not have these verses, how did they know which verses to keep blank. Sine the modern translations have these blank in their books, they are acknowledging that the KJB is the standard to the written Word of God, and every blank verse, and added footnotes are telling their readers where they fall short of this standard.
The Trinity first was iñtroduced in the first verses of Genesis.

Um, no. That’s not safe to do because there could be some other reason the verse is added. It might not have anything to do with the Trinity at all.
From what I understand it was added as a marginal note that got added in translation so I wouldn’t consider the scribe to be a heretic or that he was trying to add to scripture. Also this verse is not needed to prove the trinity it is literally all over the Bible.
This verse DOES belong and was WELL known to the church fathers and other languages that John was translated into such as the Latin. This was LONG LONG LONG before Erasmus included it.
