You could just not have an opinion… Or have an opinion that doesn’t include a magical realm with magical beings. How about that?
If you can’t understand the above concept, think about this, does the country Djibouti have more than 2 rivers? If you don’t know and don’t have an opinion and don’t just make something up and believe it without reason, welcome to rational thinking! If you do look it up, the moment before you look out up is what I’m talking about. Now I know that most theists can understand this concept normally, but some don’t see how it applies to things that they feel they personally know.
This can be applied to evil, too. But… The question is more often asked; how can an all good, all powerful, all knowing being that is in all places at all times be consistent with evil existing?
Wouldn’t God be inside the shooters mind as he pulls the trigger for mass murder? Wouldn’t he be in the finger too? And in the gun and the bullets?
That’s probably the more rational question, but I can give you this, I’ll say it’s rational, but how is evil that is not caused by an entity such as a human consistent with an all good, knowing, loving, everywhere God? How is bone cancer in babies consistent?
How is it that the God who is supposedly all good, created life in a way that it can only survive by killing other life? That doesn’t sound good at all…
How can evil exist without an all good god? By comparing one thing to another and deciding which is more favourable. By knowing what is more favourable, we know what is less favourable. The less favourable outcome is more evil than the most favourable outcome (simplified for purposes of ease of expression).

We are following the European trend in this. Its the logical outcome of the liberal attitude that resulted in our form of government and culture. The lingering of one might calm Christian capital of thinking and modify kept us from going off the deep end eariler, but we seem to have come to the end of that grace period.

b. A metaphor. We are taught that the original Bible Greek (Mt 6:13; the Lord’s Prayer) ‘τοῦ πονηροῦ,’—‘evil one’ (Satan; the devil) is meant in most fundamentalist-Christian translations—is more correct to say ‘the evil, that is in the world;’ institutional disorder, dysfunction. Evil does not exist except as an absence of good. As Christians we are not dualists.
The best argument I’ve found (other than viblical… because they dont believe in it either) is:
Do you believe dogs exist?
Do you believe rocket science exists.
Dogs have NO concept of rocket science, yet they both exist
We gave no (real) concept of God (true eternity, true mercy etc) yet we both exist!
He is to great for us mere humans to actually conceive…
As an atheist I’d just say some people do evil things. Evil doesn’t exist other than there are evil actions some people do.
