   It is absolutely true that Jesus virtually always had deeper meanings for everything He did. So there is no question that this is about more than just running out of wine.

   However, on the surface, it is not wrong to say that Jesus’ first miracle was so that the celebration of marriage could keep going. And given what marriage represents, there is more to that side of it as well.
