What are your thoughts on Liberation Theology and Black Theology?

Its not biblical. The oppressed seek liberation not from sin but from some type of oppression (ie slavery). It is erred in that all of us, whether physically oppressed or not, are in the same condition in that we need salvation from sin.

I always get confused when a word like liberation or Black or feminist in front of the word theology.
To me it means someone is trying to make certain claims and uses the Bible to justify them. It ignores anything that contradicts their assumptions and makes theological distinctions and interpretations not visible to any outside their group. It’s like a closed book on other viewpoints and feels free to reinterpret scripture. In this way it doesn’t meet the standards of good hermetically practice/methodology.
