I realize that this may sound odd to some, but I had a thought about this verse some months ago. When we are saved do you think we have our ‘labels’ removed or ‘covered’ by grace? Labels like liar, adulterer, idolater? The reason I ask this is that if a christian lies, or is divorced or has an idol or is cowardly, and they fail to repent before they die, will they be cast into the lake of fire?

That’s what someone who isn’t getting laid will say.. Christians are so fucked up.. you judge other people’s sins and when you sin you say the only way to heaven is believing Jesus Christ died for you

Yes but if they were unbelievers at the time but are now born again they are saved by Christ and are forgiven.

Please stop cherry picking verses and trying to create a context of your choosing.
You’re not doing yourself any good trying to persuade a preconception from scripture IF you don’t teach the Whole Counsel of The Word.
Look at the whole chapter you’ve selected this verse from and speak to its Intent and Content.

So are you saying that King David who was said to be a man after God’s own heart spends his eternity in Hell? You know that King David had sex outside of marriage ??? Oh and btw: marriage licenses are issues by the county offices not by God. Nobody from the county office calls God on the phone and asks if God agrees with the marriage.

All sin sends you to hell. The wages of sin is death. Read the Bible people. Salvation is not achieved with merit. Only by grace. But for grace and forgiveness of sins to take place in is there needs to be repentance. A death to sin and a new spiritual rebirth. Read the passage on Jesus and Nicodemus.

There is no such thing as premarital sex in the eyes of God. Sex is the marriage act. The sin comes from ignoring this and proceeding to commit adultry over and over again as the promiscuous hop from partner to partner. This is why couples consummate the marriage on their wedding night. It is two becoming one flesh.
Just as Adam and Eve had no official ceremony and did not sign papers forming a business contract with the government we also would not be sinning by following their example.
We need to have a high view of sex. We need to understand what it is and what it is intended for.
I agree couples should not have sex until after marriage because I realize sex is marriage. But I also believe in being accurate, honest and truthful.
If a young Christian couple went and had sex then they would not be sinning. They just got married. If they treated it as such then they have not sinned. The only argument that could be made is that they did not honor their mother and father by breaking their traditions and dishonoring them.
So, yes wait until marriage, as a believer, but also let’s not treat manmade traditions as if commands of God.

No one is perfect and even Christians will fail from time to time and our conscious will grieve us or it should-

The words (practicing sin) that is the BIG PROBLEM.
*A practicer of sin says… in essence they do not love God/ or neighbor!
For if we love someone we do NOT continue hurting them and sinning against them.
One cannot continue in an adulterous relationship or… any other SIN and say they love God for they truly do not know him.
That is called lawlessness.

Correct, assuming they don’t repent of this before death. There’s a lot of assumption in this OP that is not considered. Be careful.

So.. if a life-long Christian has sex outside of marriage (and doesn’t repent).. can he or she lose their salvation?
