In his case of course because of the betrayal agains our Lord , but suicide often is caused by severe mental health illness , i believe that the Lords mercy rescues us even when we’re not in our right frame of mind and commit the unthinkable

Depends on the state of his heart when he died. Did he every really accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. Did he kill himself out of remorse because he let an innocent man die or because he caused the Messiah’s death. I have not studied this question enough scripturally beyond this simple answer.

I think the answer is no. I believe Jesus confirmed that when He said it would have been better for Judas never to have been born. But if we ask the question of could Judas have repented and been saved I thankfully and hopefully believe yes. God’s grace extends to all who seek Him regardless of our past sins

No, He was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver: Judas was filled with remorse, not repentance. Even though he knew exactly what he did (I have sinned by betraying innocent blood), Judas was more sorry for the result of his sin than for the sin itself. There is a huge difference in being sorry about sin, and being sorry for sin.

God gave everyone the right to choose, good or evil. To be righteous or unrighteous. Judas chose to be unrighteous and betray Jesus. There was no repentance, Jesus knew that this had to happen, he even said at the last supper, who I give this bread to will betray me. Judas had already been dipping into the purse of the disciples. He had a choice. Jesus wasn’t the messiah he wanted, he wanted more status and money, Jesus wasn’t powerful he was meek, he wanted more. I could go on,but I won’t.

I do believe he once was a Christian and fell from that place because of his love for money and began to lose his faith in Jesus, being a selfish sinful God opposing person.

Judas is referred to as the “son of perdition ” in John 17:12. Perdition means destruction or waste. This is also the name given to the Antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. We know where the Antichrist ends up, so we can assume that Judas who is called by the same name ends up the same way. There are also no positive references to Judas in the scripture. Jesus in John 6:70 says he chose all 12 Disciples ut one is a devil speaking of Judas.

The Bible clearly indicates that Judas was not saved. Jesus Himself said of Judas, “The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born” (Matthew 26:24). Here is a clear picture of the sovereignty of God and the will of man working together. God had, from ages past, determined that Christ would be betrayed by Judas, die on the cross for our sins, and be resurrected. This is what Jesus meant when He said He would “go just as it is written about him.” Nothing would stop the plan of God to provide salvation for mankind.
Jesus condemning Judas, but considering that Judas travelled with Jesus for nearly three years, we know He also gave Judas ample opportunity for salvation and repentance. Even after his dreadful deed, Judas could have fallen on his knees to beg God’s forgiveness. But he did not. He may have felt some remorse born of fear, which caused him to return the money to the Pharisees, but he never repented, preferring instead to commit suicide (Matthew 27:5-8).

Who knows what went through his mind as he fell headlong onto the potter’s field..repaying the 30 silver pieces as he fell. We can’t save ourselves though “undoing” our sin, but perhaps is was true repentance and belief in Christ as Savior he experienced as he fell. No, based on what I’ve read in the text, there’s no way. Playing devil’s advocate, his remorse DID lead to him committing suicide and there’s serious and passionate debate as to whether or not suicide is forgivable. Just a thought.
