    It is.

  2. Rob Brown says:

Actually, the event is comprised of three parts. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  3. Daniel Chiasson says:

You’re right there’s more reasons than just the Bible

  4. Raymond L Foster Jr says:

    True dat.

  5. Rainier Ray says:

Very true… unless of course that event really didn’t happen… then yes, I would strongly suggest you change your stance…

  6. Simon Yew says:

See what is happening now with current event. It is as predicted by Christ two thousand years ago. Bible prophecy is 100% accurate and we are watching everything is unfolding.

  7. Benjamin Hazlett says:

Right. Those who know it’s truth are empowered by the Spirit to KNOW such.

  8. Bright Gift says:

    DO YOU FEEL BETTER?

  9. John Chambers says:

Well if there was no Bible, then how would we even have Christianity?

  11. Adam Daniel Broughton says:

The Bible says that Christianity is true because it is.

  12. Jefferson Elder says:

Thats true!! Christ ressurected and the good news was spread all over the world. The bible is the documentation of all that not the source!

  13. Nick J Peters says:

God is more real than any atheist. Atheists last a few years. God is eternal

  14. Eric Jose says:

The Holy Bible is the records why and how Christianity exist. Acts 11:26 mentions where the disciples were called Christians first at Antioch. If you don’t believe that. It is like you graduated to PhD but no documentation records from University.

Why does the moderator allow these silly post with no other reason than to pick a fight?

  16. Matt Willis says:

    How do you know?

  17. Wilson Noel Perez Jr. says:

Actually, yes, it is. Just because the Bible says it is, because the Word has been confirmed. The reason the Bible gives is because of the Bible.

  18. Wilson Noel Perez Jr. says:

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
    II Peter 1:16‭-‬21 NKJV

Jesus confirmed who he was, God the Father opened up heaven and spoke and confirmed Christ, and yet we have the Word confirmed.

  19. Jono Rosie says:

I believe the Bible because I believe Jesus.

  20. John Chambers says:

Yes, you can use the Bible to prove the Bible. It has been proven to be true many times.

  21. Carlos Sotelo says:

The statement “The Bible isn’t true” is an arrogant opinion, but the statement “The Bible is true” is an absolute, unadulterated fact.

  22. Victor Van Der Woude says:

People who say this have no concept of what the Bible is. It wasn’t written by one guy on Thursday afternoon or a committee of old guys in tweed. It’s a historical document written by multiple authors over a thousand years in the making. The New Testament is an eye witness account of Jesus life and ministry collected in one place. To reject the Bible as an unreliable witness outright is short sighted and fails to deal the evidence at hand.

  23. Jave Suan says:

The resurrection of Jesus is the best evidence that Christianity is true.

  24. Jave Suan says:

Read the book by Lee Strobel entitled “The Case for Christ”.

  25. Alexander Faburada says:

Extra biblical evidence from archeology, history, and several sciences actually prove that the Bible is true.

  26. Fred Galvez says:

And let us never forget that the Bible tells us that the pillar and Foundation of Truth is the church 1 Timothy 3:15

  27. Sonya Blade says:

It’s true because everything it says is true.

  28. Steven Wiegman says:

How can it not be true when the Bible is the Word of God and God doesn’t lie?

  29. Nicholas Richards says:
  30. Nathan Cooper says:

Depends on what the bible is and isn’t .

  31. Nathan Cooper says:

Joe Sharpe technically it’s not special pleading. If the person saying it’s true knows it is. To prove to someone who isn’t born again based on the premises of the bible truths ( since such a question exists not in a vacuum ) but inside the supposed truthfulness of the bible truth the questioner may even get the answer and still not see it and claim it is special pleading. Comprehend that? Am I asking to much of an atheist ( just in general ) if I even tell him that assuming that the bible truth is active as I tell him?

  32. Mike Cresswell says:

The bible is the living word of God, a double edged sword … it’s true

  33. Yazan Khawaja says:

It’s True because it’s God is alive and speaks today

  34. Jësus Leal says:

The Bible…you mean the same Bible which is a composed form of individual books from different time frames which depict occurrences that are documented to be factual?

Yes dear Atheist, the Bible isn’t just some book Christians read.
It’s a Book with History about Nations

    – Tribes
    – Kingdoms
    – Events
    – Figures
    – Miracles (documented)
    – Morality
    – Wisdom and instruction etc;

Taken in its most literal sense, I’m not really sure how the statement “Christianity is not true just because the Bible says it’s true. Christianity is true because an event occurred: The resurrection of Jesus.”, can be refuted by any Christian.

That phrase does not imply that the Bible isn’t true, or that it isn’t self consistent.

This can be easily seen by thinking about the negation of the statement. The failure of the negation is the success of the statement above. Given that Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15 that without Jesus death and resurrection, our faith is useless. In other words if christ didn’t die then the truth of the Bible is rendered false according to itself.

To claim any more than that is I think a misinterpretation of the statement. To claim any less is not biblical.

I think this is a real issue amongst Christians in apologetics. Examining a statement logically is often a necessary condition for correct evaluation. Just saying “The bible is true because it says it is true” is … true, but it completely misses the point, and is completely unhelpful when talking to a non-christian. (Not saying that the self apparent truth of the content of the Bible isnt worth talking about of course, simply that there is so much more to apologetics than stopping at “The bible is true (just) because it says it is true”. Including looking at it as a historical source for the resurection exterior to the narrative picture.)

Corona is not true because the media said so… ?

  37. Paul Hodge says:

Jesus was resurrected, He is alive.

  38. Ramon S. Quilala Jr. says:

Tragedy is when you do not believe in something, but believe in anything.

  39. David Butler says:

The Resurrection isn’t known that be true. It’s believed to be true. There’s a big difference.

  40. Joey Bersales says:

Just because some people think and believe the earth is flat does not mean that it is flat. In the same way just because you don’t comprehend God and His written word does not mean He doesn’t exist. Because truth is, He does and if you chose not to believe in Him and His word, I feel sorry for you when your time is up in this world.

  41. Nikki Sheppick says:

The difference between those who have faith (believe God) and those who have no faith is this: unbelievers are blind to that which is God’s Alone to Give …. to His own. How to find Him and know His Way, Truth, and Life Eternal? Jesus Said: “Repent (turn to Him, that is, seek-ask-knock on His Holy Door, and those who do and God sees that they soul is humbly and sincerely seeking Him …. God shall reveal Himself to that soul …. then), …. Believe (reverently trust Him and continue to follow after Him, for He is the Holy One of utter Divine Truth and Life Eternal, I point to the Parable of the Sower, the Seed and the soils …. dig deep, prove to your self deeply and Believe) …. and you shall be saved.” Amen and Amen.

  42. Daniel Ofongo says:

It is either you are saying the truth or the bible is saying the truth.

So should I believe your limited understanding or the bible that conveyed practical events in their manifestation?

  43. Jonathan Doran says:

and how do you know that the resurrection happened? the bible. the resurection is vital to our christian faith i’m not denying that. but this is a very bad argument and it looses any power with just some scrutiny.

  44. Bill Heath says:

God cannot lie and His Word is true.

  45. Pierre Desjardin says:
  46. Steve Sears II says:

That statement is true just because it implies it’s true.

  47. Joshua Jackson says:

Of course, nothing is true just because a book says it is. They must be true before they’re in a book, which Christianity was and is. We see proof in the world and universe around us, in our conscience and in extra-biblical history.

  48. Robin Nohea David says:

And Hollywood Movies Are??? ???? Gimmie a Break ? That statement doesn’t deserve a response.

  49. Wendy Beard says:

Not just because but because it REALLY HAPPENED! And it IS the most significaant event of all history, and to everyone personally. It even marks our time with BC and AD! No one has effected this world like Jesus has!

    That is true
