“Do not pray for easy lives.  Pray to be stronger men!  Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers.  Pray for powers equal to your tasks.”  _ E. L. McDonald

The moment you determine whether or not you will do something based on whether or not you think you can do it, you’ve taken God and every other person in the world out of the equation and reduced your world and influence to the size of your own limited ability and resources.

Who made you the arbiter of what needs to be done?

What makes you think that your abilities and resources is the limit on what can be achieved through your efforts?

What if the answer is you + God?

What if the answer is you + someone else?

What if you are where you are today in order to get something started or to keep something going until… the next person steps forward.

Remember, you’re not writing the entire book, you’re contributing a chapter. Why not start writing and see what happens.

After all, it is God who will write the last chapter. Let Him sort out how things turn out. In the meantime lets you and me stay focused on doing our little bit to keep the story line interesting.

The ONE THING for today: The question is not, “Can I do it?” The question is, “Does it need to be done?” If it does, then start and see who else shows up.
