Help Me Change Someones World This Year

Posted on November 29, 2008 by travjohnson
At the Missional Resurgence Meetings at the COG General Assembly, we announced a project called, Anthems for a Broken World by the Saturn Project. The concept is simple:
— Great original anthems written and performed by COG kids/ministers (Jesse Santoyo, Alex Santoyo, Brent Maloney) to the rhythm of unique piano-driven rock.
— Produced by Jeremy Larson, recording artist/producer. His most recent project was playing strings for Mute Math. This video is a live recording featured on ABC.
— Engineered and Co-produced by Chris Bevins, who writes and plays for the band, Salvador and produces for other top artists.
— The cost of the project is being underwritten by the end-of-the-year Christmas offering, which is the annual Missions offering at Life Pointe Church as well as outside donors.
— An initial run of 50,000 CDs will be packaged into 500 cases and shipped to 500 participating churches, schools, and youth groups where the CDs will be sold for $10 each.
— 100% of the proceeds from the anticipated $500,000 will go to global Mission.
The band will be arriving in Atlanta on Monday for the first day in the stud io. The project should be complete and ready to ship by March 2nd.
$500,000 may not change the world. But, it will change someones world. Would you like to help me change someones worldIf so, this is what you can do:
— Pray for the success of this project.
— Pray that God would unlock the resources in our church and outside of our church.
— Pray that this is the beginning of a movement that combines the arts, our emotions, our resources, and the Mission of Jesus.
— Leverage your social networks. When we roll out this project, would you help us by sharing the great news on your blog, facebook, myspace, email list, etc…
— Help us distribute this project. It wont take much effort for your church or youth group to sell 100 CDs.
— Finally, in the next two weeks, well begin soliciting end-of-the-year Christmas offerings from the people in our circle of influence, which will include my blogs. Would you consider carving off a generous piece of your Christmas budget to help fund this project Well be opening the doors wide to donors to help make this happen. Were committed to the project. We want to ensure that it has as broad exposure as possible. You can help us in this area. Well spend your money rapidly and well to advance the Gospel in a really beautiful and redemptive project.
Come be a part.
