things that scare me, things that don’t

I am afraid of getting on the roof, but not of flying.
I have stage fright but I preach 12 times a month on average.
I despise horror movies but I am planning an alligator hunt later this summer.
Doesn’t make a lot o
f sense does it?

Fear is a strange thing. it can be a huge motivator or it can paralyze you.

If we are afraid enough of failure, we will be motivated to work very hard. If we afraid of being unloved, we will respond with investments of ourselves in the lives of the people who will love us. Fear of eternity without God inspires us to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Don’t allow your fears to control you but definitely let them push you into action. Take what nags you and utilize it for your good and the good of others.

Honestly, one of my greatest fears is of not taking enough risks. I’m afraid of playing it too safe, afraid of missing the adventure. Afraid of getting to the end of my life and having regrets that I blew my chance to do something significant. I am using this fear as a catapult. Hopefully it will propel me into a vision-filled, productive and eternally significant life.

What scares the heck out of you?
Deal with it, conquer it, use it to make the world a better place in which to live.
