Do you think I make my plans carelessly? Do you think I am like people of the world who say “Yes” when they really mean “No”?
__Apostle Paul, 2 Corinthians 1:17
My dear amazing Grands,
- Be very slow to make up your mind.
Get the facts. Listen to other points of view. Weigh the costs. Is having an opinion on the matter at hand even necessary?
- Be even slower to give your word.
Don’t make the weathervane of your life the latest poll. The mob does not have to rule you. Just because everyone else is doing it…, Other people’s lack of planning does not constitute and emergency for you. Unless you can really and truly contribute to a resolution, sometimes “making a difference” only prolongs the agony.
But…
- Once you do give your word, stand by it, no matter the cost.
For in the end, if your word is worthless, of what worth are you?
The ONE THING: The Question is not can you do it, but did you say you would.
