His Return? Have you ever known someone misled?

With this hoopla about someone knowing the day of our Lord's return; have you ever known anyone who fell whole heartedly for a false prophecy? WE attended church with a couple who fell for an AOG minister's message of the end of the earth in about 1959. They lived in Moberly Mo, along with about 50 people sold everything they could, cars, houses, stuff and put the money in one purse and traveled to the Ozarks where the pastor said that was the place to which the Lord would return. It had been about 3 years later when we met them. WE became good friends, Their faith was returning, but their belief and faith in ministers had been shattered. Presently and this is the 23rd of Sept, I know someone who firmly believes this is the day, so far it is not. BUT I know that HE could still return today, but I also know that NO ONE knows the day nor hour. I worry about this man's faith. He is a very intelligent man and a Christian, I am praying that IF the Lord does not return today that he will be able to handle the fact he was misled.. YOur thoughts....??
