“Turn “I want it” into “I want God.”” — Craig Groeschel, Fight: Winning the Battles That Matter Most
There is a huge difference between checking in with Jesus and being connected to Jesus.
One of the most important moments of your day is when you “check-in” with Jesus (your devotional time). But what you must not do is allow your devotional time to be a one-and-done event where you check off a box on your to-do list and then move on to the “real” world.
Be intentional about staying connected to Jesus throughout your day. Tie a string around your finger, set reminders on your phone, put a Bible in an obvious place on your desk…do whatever it takes…but be intentional about staying connected to Jesus.
Afterall, it was Jesus who said, “Apart from me you can do nothing.”
The ONE THING for today: No more autopilot for you. Be intentional about developing a moment-by-moment relationship with God that keeps you connected.
