On Apr. 13, 2026, Harbinger’s Daily posted an article by Dr. Mark Hitchcock (associate professor at Dallas Theological Seminary, pastor, author, and more) about the importance of studying the book of Revelation.

Here is some of what Dr. Hitchcock said:

  • It tells us the ending of the story that began in Genesis 1.
  • The greatest value of Revelation is what it teaches us about the future.
  • It discloses that this world is headed for a devastating seven-year period of divine judgment; the rise of a final world ruler; a global government, economy, and worship; the great war of Armageddon; the second coming of Christ; the 1,000-year reign of Christ on the earth; the final judgment; and the new heaven and new earth.
  • Revelation tells us where this world is headed, and where we are headed.
  • It displays the sovereignty and holiness of God.
  • It teaches us that God is in control, that He has a plan that He is bringing to fulfillment.
  • It reveals that God alone can foretell the future and that He does so with 100 percent accuracy.
  • Nowhere in Scripture do we see a more awful picture of man’s depravity, rebellion, and blasphemy.
  • The book of Revelation provides a divine view of history. We see that no human empire can endure.
  • Man’s day will come to a tragic end.
  • It’s the only book of the Bible that contains a special blessing for those who read it and keep the things written in it (Revelation 1:3).
  • For this reason, Revelation has been aptly called “the Blessing Book.”

Here are some recent events that seem to confirm God’s view of the future:

One, concerning the EU having a powerful military during the Tribulation Period: on Apr. 15, 2026, it was reported that:

  • European officials are pushing to form a “European NATO” in case the United States decides to stop participatingin the alliance, with the main focus on replacing American assets on the continent.
  • According to the report, the objective is to have European officers in command-and-control positions who could take over if the Americans decided to leave the alliance.
  • NATO’s Secretary General, Mark Rutte, said recently that the alliance aimed to reduce its dependence on American officers and instead become more “European-led.”

(My comment: The Bible teaches that the Antichrist will rise to power in the Revived Roman Empire, i.e., in the EU, and have a powerful army.)

Two, concerning Israel expanding its borders and harvesting fruit on the mountains of Israel at the end of the age: on Apr. 16, 2026, Israel approved a plan to spend almost $334 million on developments in the Golan Heights.

Three, concerning America’s 250th anniversary, 500 dignitaries, including Pres. Trump, are participating in a public reading of the entire Bible (KJV Easy Read) in Washington, DC this week (Apr. 18-25).

Four, concerning the coming surveillance society (tracking where everyone goes and all their buying and selling): on Apr. 19, 2026, it was reported that China has 700 million cameras (494 per 1,000 people).

That is almost one camera for every two people.

There is also a growing number of surveillance cameras in several other countries.

Five, concerning Israel having a great army at the end of the age: on Apr. 19, 2026, Pres. Trump said Israel fights hard and knows how to win.

(My opinion: Israel wins because God is defending Israel.)

Six, concerning ceasefires in the U.S.-Israel-Iran War: on Apr. 19, 2026, an article in the Jerusalem Post expressed the opinion that the Iranian government cannot be toppled without fighting the IRGC.

(My opinion: It won’t be toppled until God does it in the Battle of Gog of Magog.)

Seven, concerning a potential oil shortage: it is too early to know what happened, but on Apr. 20, 2026, there was a massive explosion at a power plant in Bucharest, Romania. More than 30 tons of oil exploded and burned.

Eight, concerning the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz: on Apr. 22, 2026, Hal Turner Radio reported that:

  • Iran has taken custody of two ships after opening fire on them for trying to exit the Strait of Hormuz.
  • The Iranians have said, “If Iran is Blockaded by the United States, then Iran will Blockade all other Persian Gulf countries, too.”
  • The IRGC just made good on that statement.

(Update: Within hours, a third ship has come under fire from Iran.)

(Update: On Apr. 22, 2026, Kuwait announced that it cannot meet oil contract obligations because the Strait of Hormuz is closed.)

Nine, concerning the Holy Spirit causing Jews to return to Israel at the end of the age: on Apr. 22, 2026, it was reported that:

  • More than 3.5 million Jews have immigrated to Israel since it became a nation in 1948.
  • There are now 7.97 million Jews living in Israel.
  • Israel’s population is now more than 10.244 million people.

Here are some war reports as they came in from the U.S. and Israel:

The U.S. calls its attacks Operation Epic Fury.

Israel calls its attacks Operation Roaring Lion.

Thurs. Day 48 (Apr. 16, 2026) (Day 9 of the latest two-week ceasefire)

  • Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir will meet with senior Iranian officials to try to convene a second round of U.S.-Iran talks in Islamabad.
  • Hamasrejected the US-led Board of Peace’s disarmament plan and asked the board to make changes to the plan. (Note: In Oct. 2025, Hamas agreed to disarm, but they have never done it, and they are refusing to do it. It is my opinion that agreements with Iran and its terrorist proxies are worthless.)
  • The U.S. threatened to use force against ships at Iranian ports if they refuse to comply with the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. It is the U.S. position that it will blockade Iran’s ships if Iran is going to blockade ships from other countries.
  • Russia has threatened to strike drone production facilities across Europe supplying Ukraine, including a Haifa-based company (in Israel) identified by Moscow, as fighting intensifies and European support for Kyiv expands.
  • Israel and Lebanon agreed to a ten-day ceasefire that may be extended if Lebanon effectively demonstrates its ability to assert its sovereignty. As part of the ceasefire agreement, the Lebanese government has committed to, with international support, take “meaningful steps” to prevent Hezbollah and any other “rogue non-state armed groups” in Lebanon from attacking Israel.
  • Pakistan is seeking to host another round of US-Iran peace talks before that ceasefire expires April 22.
  • The Houthis in Yemen have publicly announced they will commence Blocking the Strait of Al-Mandab at noon local time in Yemen on Apr. 17, 2026. This will cut off access to the Red Sea and to the Suez Canal.

Fri. Day 49 (Apr. 17, 2026) (Day 10 of the latest two-week ceasefire)

  • Trump said Iran has agreed to everything, and Iran said there are still significant differences between the U.S. and Iran. Contradictions and confusion abound.
  • Iran has rejected a second round of negotiations due to the US’s excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant shifts in stance, repeated contradictions, and the ongoing naval blockade.

Sat. Day 50 (Apr. 18, 2026) (Day 11 of the latest two-week ceasefire)

  • Less than 24 hours after it was reopened, the Strait of Hormuz is closed again. Iran announced that the Strait would return to its previous state of strict military control after the U.S refused to lift its blockade of Iran’s ports.
  • The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reports that a tanker was approached by 2 IRGC gunboats and then fired upon.
  • Iran said it is replenishing its missile and drone launchers at a higher speed than it did prior to the war with the US and Israel.

Sun. Day 51 (Apr. 19, 2026) (Day 12 of the latest two-week ceasefire)

  • Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed his country’s nuclear rights.
  • The UK has started canceling flights to more than 30 destinations because of the fuel crisis.
  • Israel accused France of paying Iran to let French-owned ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
  • Trump said Iran violated the ceasefire agreement when it fired on cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz Saturday.
  • Trump said talks with Iran on extending the ceasefire would resume on Tuesday, while the Islamic Republic indicated it was not planning to send a delegation and was pessimistic about the prospects of the talks.
  • Iran rejected taking part in the second round of talks with the U.S.
  • S. Marines seized an Iranian cargo ship that attempted to break through Washington’s naval blockade of the Islamic Republic

Mon. Day 52 (Apr. 20, 2026) (Day 13 of the latest two-week ceasefire)

  • Israel struck a loaded, ready-to-fire Hezbollah launcher in southern Lebanon.
  • Trump said the ceasefire agreement with Iran will no longer be extended, and if the agreement is not reached, then the bombing will begin at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
  • Kurdish forces told the IRGC to prepare for Zero Hour. The storm is coming to wipe out the IRGC completely.

Tue. Day 53 (Apr. 21, 2026) (Day 14 of the latest two-week ceasefire)

  • Iran officially canceled the ceasefire talks, so Vance, Kushner, and Witkoff did not go.
  • Trump decided not to attack Iran, but to extend the ceasefire to allow for diplomacy, and to continue the blockade of Iran. (Note: Some pundits are accusing Pres. Trump of caving.)
  • Iran called the continuation of the blockade an act of war.
  • Iran rejected Pres. Trump’s unilateral ceasefire declaration.
  • The White House said Pres. Trump has extended the ceasefire for another 3-5 days.
  • Trump told Israel that he has extended the new ceasefire with Israel until Sunday (Apr. 26).
  • Yemen’s Houthisare making military preparations for a possible confrontation with the United States and Israel in the coming days.

Wed. Day 54 (Apr. 22, 2026) (Day 1 of Trump’s ceasefire extension to Apr. 26)

  • A military study determined that the U.S. may have enough stockpiled missiles to complete the war with Iran, but it may not have enough to combat other adversaries such as China.
  • Satellite images show that more than 30 IRGC fast attack boats swarmed the Strait of Hormuz. It is believed that some or all of those boats carried “at least one sea mine” and that the Strait of Hormuz may now be completely mined. Naval Experts said,“It will take at least 6 months to clear the mines.”
  • S. Navy Sec. John Phelan has been fired. No reason has been given.

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
