Today would have been the 96th birthday of Church of God General Overseer Elver Clayton (E.C.) Thomas, who was born on December 13, 1920, in Lake City, Florida. Especially known for his managerial gifts, he is credited with establishing Pathway Press as a publishing imprint while publisher at the Church of God Publishing House (1955-1970). During his tenure as general overseer (1982-1986), Thomas led the Church of God in our centennial anniversary celebration.
