The past few weeks I have been observing the Stevens Creek COG and the ministry of Dr. Marty Baker. He came to S C well educated and with a lot of inbuilt talent and ability. Since he founded the church it has given him some lee way to structure the church as he saw fit. Certainly the tone and general presentation of the gospel is different than the old line churches. Yet he has seemed to have read the modern mind well and developed a ministry that has met their needs. It’s just a small thing in the great scheme of things but I like the stage background the gold and the blues, you don’t see a clutter of wires etc.. It’s easier to stay focused without a cluttered background.
