We are in the series Repentance. We have dealt with what true repentance is. There is both a change of opinion and feeling in regards to sin. We come now to this thought: The Naked Cross. I am going to read in Deuteronomy 16:22,22 about why repentance plays such a part in bringing a person to Christ. “Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee. Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.”
