    Better than sex ignorance.

  2. Seth Iris says:

Better if the educator is also a christian.

    Encouraging fornication is ungodly.

Don’t make it too awkward. Just make the information about safe sex available.

Honestly, I do think that we should have sex education. I feel that not having any sex education leads sex to be something that is not valued and crude. I mean just listen to all of the awful overly sexualized music that this generation is growing up on. Just think about it, the artist that make this music were brought up with no sex education. I think the thing that is encouraging kids to have sex is the culture, again as I said overly sexualized. I mean all of the teen romance shows have all of the teens having sex or wanting to have sex. There aren’t really any other shows or music that don’t talk about sex and challenge young people’s brains. With all of that being said, I don’t think sex education encourages sex, I think our culture and society encourages sex. I think it’s important for teenagers to know their biology and why they feel the things they feel. Because no education leads to teen pregnancy, google searches that are not healthy nor filled with the right information, looking up porn out of curiosity, and the type of sexual harassment that kids “thought” was okay, but never spoke upon. However I do believe that even though sex education teaches your kids about sex it isn’t going to prevent them from having sex, just like how their society isn’t preventing from having sex. Sex education teaches kids how to value their bodies and be safe. I think Christian parents will have to work harder to stress the “wait until marriage” aspect of the Bible and understand that the decision to have sex IS up to the child and what morals they want to uphold to. Sex education teaches about saying no if you are not ready. With that being said, I do think it is crucial for young people to learn about sex, the biology of their bodies, and consent in a healthy and educational way.

They should be taught “abstinence until marriage”. Then, be faithful to your spouse.

  7. Brad Jones says:

Sex education is the job of parents and other 7th graders whose parents already did THEIR job.

  8. Bobby Pandaram says:

My 5 cents worth – we should have moral education

  9. Rafael Macapagal says:

Sex Education is vital, but at the same time it needs to be countered with Moral and Ethical Education. Kids need to know about how it is done however they must be steered away from doing it themselves by teaching them how and WHY to avoid such acts at a young age. The knowledge of GOOD must come with the knowledge of EVIL.

It depends what they teach and when do they teach it. The real problem for me is when they teach something wrong and the laws of a country avoids you to teach correctly and Biblically to your kids.

I teach psychology and a Catholic all-girls school and I’ve always approached sex head-on. I’ve found that students are largely misinformed about sex itself but always hyper-sensitive to moralizing about it. The research on STDs and the effects of pornography speak for themselves, so sharing that I’ve found to be pretty powerful.

The only people that need to teach about relationships, marriage, the family is the parents. Any other forms are not essential, especially for your own home and family. Get the corporation and businesses out of your home and thinking. Think about what is pure and good. Teach what God of the Bible says and walk in His ways. The righteous will walk in faith. Teach your family to walk and follow God and grow in Godliness.

  17. Lyn Zee says:

    It’s the parents job!
Leaving it up to secularists to teach our children it’s ok to have “protected” sex, including anal sex, is negligent of any “Christian” parent.

  18. Steve McCormick says:

Schools need to develop an “opt-in” instead of an “opt-out” policy. Unless of course, you trust your local school boards — which you shouldn’t.
