After a long debate on the doctrine of TRINITY, I see no difference between Modalism and oneness doctrine. But the question is, if it is the same then why different names???

Modalism Oneness Theology and Sebelius ism is all the same my brother

I believe this is oneness ( modalism ) belief.

I don’t understand the difference yet between modalism and oneness theology.
I don’t care so much though. One Trinitarian God. -
Because new doctrines are usually just a rebranding of old heresies.

I’m no expert, Oneness and Sebellianism appear to be variations of modalism; Sebellianism teaching one God with 3 masks, whereas Oneness is The Father presenting himself as Son or Spirit.
Still both Modalism. -
Interesting. When Jesus prayed, He prayed to God the Father. I believe that the confusion is in man’s attempt to interpret scripture. I believe in the Godhead, but I also believe that Christians use the ttinity doctrine to describe the nature of the Godhead, but the Bible uses Godhead.

Oneness is right There is only one Spirit and when God came and dwelt in flesh we see the Father and Son relationship which is the Omnipresent Spirit Jesus no longer dwells in flesh. He is that same spirit dwelling in a glorified eternal body
This is why what God says in the OT is fulfilled by Jesus in the NT
This is why we see God in the OT and Jesus in the NT sharing titles such as The king of Israel The first and last The Lord of lords The shepherd The savoir The mighty God etc -
oneness is the modern resurgence of modalism.

I agree, and by the way. Scripture shows that God existes in all thee forms at the same time simultaneously not consecutively. God didn’t become Jesus and leave Heaven to stay in Earth. Also The Holy Spirit was present since creation and it’s mentioned many times in both Old and New Testament to perform miracles or guide people to do God’s will. What happened in Pentecost was different. That was a baptism of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of age of the church, a period of Grace and power where God will reign on earth through the church enabled by the filling of the Holy Spirit. In the mean time, Jesus ascended to heaven to prepare homes for us.
The idea of modalism is erroneous because it portrays God as one that wears diferent costumes depending on his purpose. Scripture presents all three as personal beings members of One God.

The Oneness folks aren’t too good at church history, so they don’t realize that their “new take” on the nature of God is really just an ancient heresy, and certainly aren’t aware that it’s also known as Modalism and Sabellianism.

There are two types of modalism one is monarchial and another is dynamic. Which one are you referring to?
